Tbf there is not a lot that is more frustrating than trainings like that. Unless you're playing terribly and just can't get anything going you shouldn't have to do it. HBU were going well at the time so I can understand where the players are coming from. 

I think the issue at the time was which has been said on here before Brett tried to come in and change things straight away which obviously didn't go down well. I'm looking forward to see what happens.

Is CG going to be involved? Heard he maybe heading to assist Waikato or am i'm off the mark with this?

I don't think that there is any chance that he will be involved with HBU, and who can blame him.

Can anyone confirm that Bill Robertson has signed for Team Wellington?  Big loss for HB United in my opionon.

Bill is a good addition for TW and a huge loss for HBU.

'Play in a team that has Champions League'

Is that signing true? Reported in the paper yesterday that Bill is the football coach at the new St Johns College sports academy in Hastings.

Hawkes Bay United are pleased to announce the signings of Facundo Barbaro, Mario Barcia and Saul Halpin for the 2014/15 ASB Premiership season.

The three players are the first signings under new head coach Brett Angell who will be looking to add to Hawke’s Bay’s consecutive playoff places in first year at the helm of the Napier based club.

18 year old Facundo Barbaro comes to the Bay via Wellington based side Island Bay who played in the Capital Premier League where he excelled in the clubs run to the Chatham Cup’s last eight.

The Argentine, who can play out wide on either the right or left came to New Zealand via Imstituto in Santiago and Central Cordorba.

“The high level of football here excites me” says Barbaro. “ I want to have a successful year, not only for myself but for Hawkes Bay United also”.

Fellow countryman, Mario Barcia follows Barbaro from the Capital where he also caught the eye of Angell at Island Bay following a run of excellent form.
An impressive footballing CV that includes Santiago, Sportiud Fernandez, Newells’s Old Boys Independiente and Bolivia’s Aurora, indicates that the center midfielder will be one to watch closely when the league kicks off come November.
Barbaro who attended the same school as another footballer by the name of Leo Messi has set his goals high this season.

“I want to play in every game and perform well for Hawkes Bay United” Barbaro said. “It is important that we continue our success in the league as we have over the past couple of seasons”.

22 year old Saul Halpin is another who has a vast amount of footballing experience for one so young, and will look to use this to assist those around him.
Halpin arrives in Napier on the back of a season with Central Federation side Team Taranaki who narrowly missed out on promotion to the Central League.
The Englishman’s most notable achievement to date is his 3 years spent at Football League two club Torquay United who unfortunately released him mid-2013.

The right back will look to rebuild his career at Hawke’s Bay and is looking forward to the challenge.

“The different style of football and opportunity to experience a new lifestyle is something I’m looking forward too, it will be a challenge, but an exciting time.”

Angell’s side open their season away to Oceania Champions, Auckland City, the first weekend of November.

Even though its disappointing theres no locals, some of the great Napier city Rovers teams of the late 80s and early 90s had a lot of both foreigners and players who came from other provinces.Clive Holmes,Paul Halford,Gary Parker,Gary Locke,Phil Jackson,Harry Clarke,Mick Waitt,Darren Fletcher,David Kirk were all uk imports even though some of them stayed a long time and people like Andy Rennie,Perry Cotton and Martin Akers came from other provinces and were quite successful so I guess we just have to Hope Brett Angell knows what hes doing.

Lovemore is a bit of a fool so his comments oddly enough have a tone of common sense for once. He is a paid mercenary so what does he care of others preferences.

On a slightly different tack, you're not good enough if you are signed for Spurs and not Man City, Chelsea or Arsenal - then again that might be right lol. I think you know what I mean though with my 'harsh' comment - because he is paid to play football doesn't mean anything he says is invalid.
