game ended 5-0 to Karori. controversial opinion here but I don't think the nix will make the finals

Was definitely women versus girls. Apparently over 10x players not available for the Nix Ressies. It does circle round to the integrity of the comp again and whether they should be playing for points. They might not be able to win the comp, but with the massive changes in their squad from week to week - they are likely to have a bearing on who makes the final / has the chance to win. Just my opinion.

No surprises that Waterside Karori dominated tonight, they held Auckland United to a draw last week and the Nix put out a much younger and less experienced team today.

The Nix keeper Gallagher-Forbes didn't have a great game, should've done better with a bunch of the goals, felt like her reaction time was a bit slow as the shots tended to be right by her, and possibly saveable. The 4th goal was the worst for her as she was dispossessed quite easily. The defence in front of her didn't provide her much protection though.

The defence as a whole looked pretty inexperienced and shaky, which I guess is not that surprising as they aren't very experienced at this level yet.

Lily Brazendale looked like she has some talent, but there wasnt much to go on as Karori didn't allow her many opportunities to show what she can do.

The broadcast was an improvement over the match at Fraser Park last week. Better resolution of video compared to last week but a bit stuttery and blocky at times (not unwatchable though as it sometimes can be at NCR's ground though). Unfortunately at times the commentary was ahead of the video, but not as bad as last week - and they did seem to get it back in sync tonight

With Canterbury and Wellington Utd drawing today and WCR failing to beat Springs last night, every team has already dropped points

National League is absolutely her level to be fair. In fact she'll do well to make the AU XI.

Not really because if the league decision makers don’t know this is standard for a nix team in any league and haven’t gone in with their eyes fully open, then our football governance has some issues.

It becomes boring when the talk is all about their age and they get a free pass, and with the quality of the opposition not even being mentioned. The commentator was a pain in the ass (again).
Anyone can put out a young team, especially if they have to. Let’s just park that for two seconds. They are there (and fair enough IMO) to develop the best talent the country has. They train together more often than anyone. Maybe talk on the game and not the running average age of the team otherwise this is going to be a massive yawn.
They obviously aren’t chasing results when they are making subs and delving so deep in their roster.

To be fair - based on how Karori played Friday/last week and how Phoenix played with a better lineup against Canterbury, it probably would've still been a Karori win even if the Nix played a better lineup.

You don't know for sure, but they've also strengthened a bit since losing that KS Cup tie.

Yes see WK have Tui Dugan playing for them. Last I heard she was playing in NPL Queensland. Wonder if she got a trial at the Nix

Anyone know why the Southern Utd vs Central Football match was postponed?

Nix Reserves lost 4-0 to Wellington United last night. Hasn't been a great start for them, 3 losses from 3 matches so far and a goal difference of -12.

Aimee Danieli was in goal for the Nix for the first time this National League season.

Edit: Also just a note, I started to watch the replay of this match last night, decided I was too tired and would pick it up in the morning - only to find this morning that the Fifa+ crew have accidentally added the 2 min highlights to the full match replay section so now the full match is no longer available - annoying but I suppose it saved me from watching a very one sided match

Hell of an ending to the Canterbury United vs West Coast Rangers match!

Was 3-2 to WCR at 90 minutes then Canterbury United managed to equalise 3 minutes into added time.

Then on 6 minutes of added time Canterbury United got a corner which resulted in an Olimpico goal to finish the match as a 4-3 win to Canterbury United! WCR had not been behind all match.

Also it was a bit awkward that the FT graphic showed the 90minute score!

Wow, not sure Eastern Suburbs didn’t score in that game. The corner and shots stats will certainly be well in favour of Suburbs, but credit to Karori for fighting their way to the win and winning the only stat that matters!

Four teams on 7pts after three rounds! Pride and the two Wellington club sides with impressive showings so far (and Auckland Utd but that's expected)

Every stream I've bothered tuning into lately has been completely unwatchable. Capped off by Auckland United versus Southern at the moment - someone appears to have given the camera to a drunk 3 year old on a pogo stick, and the audio is an absolutely wild 7 seconds ahead of the video. Such a disgraceful advertisement of our national league - while the football quality improves each year, the broadcast quality has gone back to the dark ages.

That Wngtn Utd kit of deep orange & deep blue is a killer combo. Shame their men's game has disappeared into the void. They were a great club once upon a time, with a great Wngtn heritage. Newtown Pk deserves better.

I know. Still is if the accents of the women's team coaching staff is anything to go by.

Waterside keeper should've stopped that really. Early lead for Auckland United.

If Auckland United win this they will complete the Quadruple and do it without losing a single match this year - which would be a hell of an achievement.

Despite this I'm hoping for Waterside Karori to pull off the upset
