I don't live in Auckland but I relied on internet sites for results - of which there were two reports of the mighty GI going down.  But if you won 3-2 I fall on my sword and apologise  - NatPevin has no problem saying sorry he makes lots of mistakes. But 3-2?  Squeaky bum stuff.

A wins a win 3-2 or 30-2 still got the 3 points which is all we can do

Will be good to see a few of the boys from mosgiel out at green island next season!

Green Island dominated in all aspects today, 2 quick goals from the blues showed that G.I are vulnerable, hints of past seasons coming through. But still mosgiel didn't want a bar of the front 3, green islands midfield could have done a lot more with the ball. Kudos to Regan's goal, outstanding goal from a true stalwart, nothin but respect for the bearded man.

The island have a huge game against tech next week, I have no idea how it will go.

Who do you think we can be expecting to join us at the vale from mosgiel next season anon? Could be more than one as GI is hot demand :)

I disagree Anon sure the GI boys got the three points but by saying they dominated in every aspect of the game is disrespectful. From what i was saw from the sideline it was an even hard fought contest. Well done the mosgiel lads much improved.

Good luck GI against the next step up. You will need it from what i have seen. All the best.

Fair point, few drinks down me and the keyboard warrior comes out ;)

It was much closer, I take back what I said, but I did think that Green Island played a better brand of footy. I hope Mosgiel rack up some points in the next few weeks though. They are much better then their record shows.

Think Tech will smash GI this weekend, what odds on tech 3+

Well if they do smash them Tech will go ahead of them in the rankings, but I more fancy Cavy to cruise to a win over Mosgiel (not that I'm biased now!) and Varsity to win over Braes - that would most likely put them both ahead of Tech and GI.  In any case grats to GI at the moment - the second ranked club team in the land.

Great work Mike good to see how Dunedin teams stack up to others around the country. its interesting to see that Mosgiel who have not won a game yet are currently the 32nd best team in the country right now

Food for thought

I would agree with this if Joel wasn't playing

Feeling real dusty today....

Varsity will be feeling dusty too, throwing away a 2-1 lead against the park the bus long ball merchants, then having their team initiation drinks to celebrate throwing away 2 competition points. Rumours are the new boys couldnt get past 6 Southern Golds without spewing, real amatauers that varsity lot.

dusty..........dusty......

Another week, another win and the GI run continues. Mosgiel were poor and scored two goals off our mistakes. Joel was the best player on the park by some distance and I thought we were in control of the whole match. Mosgiel fought harder than expected but at the end of the day the cream rose to the top. Tech will be another victim this weekend. I'll plump for 3-1.

A much better weekend for Roslyn with a solid 3-1 win over Grants Braes

bet365 what are the latest odds for FPL winner 2013? Might be worth a nibble on the Horse...

Also interested in goal combo this weekend of say Cameron/Hancock/Rae please

Also speculator odds on both Milne brothers to score?

Also Mpondo to see red - this is costing me money but will go again this week with a big bet.

Hi all,

Can anybody shed light on whether or not Otago United are looking to change their name for the next ASB Premiership season?

Personally, I think it would be sad to see "Otago United" disappear from the league.

Bet for next weekend.

$50 on Tom Batty to be back in goal for Tech on Saturday.

They represent Southland and South Canterbury, as well as Otago, so they are looking for a name that embraces the entire region.

Put a name in, you never know your luck!

I'm guessing they won't go for Team Otago, so my entry is Queen of the South

Nice Yeovil, love it.  But based on this forum it should be Roosters Utd.
