Second Best, I hope you haven’t developed
what’s commonly called amongst footballers ‘referee’s disease’. It brings a haughty response, by the
letter of the law, that’s blind to the true spirit of the game. It sees the
real perpetrators of evil as victims somehow by, perhaps, not being breastfed
or having small pickles. Boo hoo,
poor them. And so anyone that puts
them in their place becomes anathema.
That is all backasswards Second Best – please consider this.
And Second Best if I’ve miffed you now, I’m
sorry. And if I’m damned to the
lower depths of Tartarus for speaking so out of turn then so be it. But if so I want to talk to the head
