Yer I went and watched but there were so many changes from both sides I wouldn't read anything into it. Coastal changed their entire team at half time.

Coastal won 6-0 I think.

I let my guitar speak for me

so what's going to happen with wanaka signing all these foreigners

I think its still only 4 players per teamsheet.  Wanaka will need the greatest 'man manager' coach the game has ever seen to keep the 12 overseas players they have announced happy ...

What about the Christchurch United side? Did they forfeit or actually lose 3-0?

I'll hijack this thread, given it's a ChCh function.

You'd think being the night before the Nix play WSW in Addington, they'd try and get Rufer and/or Payne to attend.

Not a bad guest list.
Nellie is going to dial in from DC.
Adshead will be 84 later this month.

Tickets selling fast for FIFA Men’s World Cup celebratory dinner in Christchurch
High demand for tickets to a special World Cup celebratory dinner in Canterbury has prompted organisers to book a larger room.

Supporter group Centre Circle, who are hosting the event, say more than 170 tickets have been sold for the April 17 dinner to celebrate New Zealand’s participation in a third FIFA Men’s World Cup.

The dinner will bring together some of New Zealand football’s biggest names, including players and coaches from the 1982, 2010 and 2026 cup campaigns.

The dinner will be held at Chateau on the Park, Christchurch, on Friday April 17, 2026, and will now be held in the venue’s Great Hall.

Centre Circle organisers say remaining tickets are selling fast, and the capacity of The Great Hall is 200.

The timing of the dinner gives guests the option of also attending the men’s A-League match between the Wellington Phoenix and Western Sydney Wanderers at Apollo Projects Stadium on Saturday April 18, 2026 (5pm).

Special guests and legends

That's a big loss for Coastal! Apparently they pulled out of a Friendly vs DCR that supposed to be played in Timaru, not sure the reason.

Absolutely stoked about Norther today! Was at the game and had a great time on the hill.

This game was an important one for the boys. There's been uncertainty regarding how they'd perform in this league, so a strong win here should help give them plenty of confidence moving forward
