Crap, not good for the confidence.    Hope to have a better game against Canterbury at Westpac.

Anyone know if the game will be live on sky? I assume it'll be delayed.. or will they just do highlights..?

will be nice to check it out later

The TW  games at Westpac will be televised live so you can stay at "The Pub" - If the weather is bad the games will get transferred to D F park with  24 hrs notice and not be televised.

You are not missing too much... Its a lot of 2 pass, turn over or 2 pass, hoof. 1st touches are poor and this is not a great advertisement for our national league. The goal was nice though so...

This referee is a bit soft on the aerial challenges. Solomons got up and won his and the Canty lad got up and won his as well.

Team Wellington really do miss Darren Cheriton. Henry Fa'arodo will make a different too.

Clapham has been the best player on the field by a mile and has not really had to exert himself much.

Thank god that is over. That was an awful advertisement for out national league. 2 passes is about all they could string together.

I should probably add that maybe I am a bit spoiled watching either Auckland or Waitakere most weeks. This is the 1st time in about 3 years I have seem a game not involving one of those two and it was not flash. I would hate to see a Waikato v Manawatu game.

Jeez that was a bit rough! Really poor passing. But good to see it on TV.

agree with jeff

very little skill or control over proceedings.  pass pass mistake, pass fall over, long ball over hit, pass pass, mistake, pass misdirected pass.

certainly a pale shadow of the national league i used to watch

TW were awful.  white, kamo and clapham were decent for canterbury

gotta say something about the quality of the imports too, TW's were not particularly impressive, particularly the big danish donkey, well below a decent national league standard.  so what's the point in having them?

canterbury's were ok, decent footballers, but hardly involved due to the lack of constructive play

Official word from Westpac Stadium - 1083 people through the turnstiles for the curtain raiser last Sunday.

Did they apply the rugby formula for finding attendances to it?

Allegedly

It is a very generous figure. I could only count about 200 at the final whistle.

Don't forget all the corporates up in their boxes hooking into the champers and prawn sandwiches early doors.

Anyone travelling up for the game this weekend? Interviewed Matt Calcott for the preview going up on ASB Prem site, he's not reading anything in to the history and thinks it'll be close but surely Wellington have to get three points if they're going to be considered a contender. Any TAB odds up yet?

how was Basalaj? Every time I looked up to watch and saw him he was having a howler (which was only about two or three times).

Four easy results to pick this week I would have thought. Get them in a multi

Flapped a lot, seemed pretty uncertain in the air. Wasn't tested too much overall.
