Just watched the highlights. Not sure how the ref could give Watson a yellow.

I yelled 'Fuck off ref' quite loudly after he showed Watson a yellow. Pretty sure everyone in the stadium heard me, it was eerily quiet in there.

Are you advocating he should have gotten a penalty? If anything I would have probably given the goal kick and be done with it.

Yes I though it was quiet.  But seemed to have a good turn out of people (well in comparisson to the first 2 games).

In my book, it definitely wasn't a pen. Whether it was dive? I'm not sure, with that Team Welly footage, I can see why the referee gave a card, but I'm still not convinced the intent was to go down and i think he just fell over due to the legal contact and loss of balance.

I'm not advocating for a penalty at all. There's just no way it was a yellow card. A ref is allowed to wave a way a penalty protest, it's not like it can either be a penalty or a dive, but nothing in between.

No pen, no dive...just a goal kick and a confused ref as stated by all and sundry before me.  But there seems to be a bit of an elephant in the room on this thread  - ie the TW performance.  We were good at the back mostly, dominant in the middle, we had our moments out wide as well.  But what are we doing in the final third?  We can't rely on big Hamish for everything and Henry just seemed absent a lot of the time - he just didn't do it for me sorry.

Big lad went down a wee bit too easily for my liking...

How is Rowe doing? Poddy crew were talking him up til ASB started.

Caught a few snippets of the game on the weekend and it didn't look good. Combine that with his Nix game..

Finally a win for a Wellington team - unless it's a draw of course.

Think there's some confusion. TW are playing Waitakere on Saturday so no need to fret about travelling supporters shouting you down. ACFC are away to Canterbury on Jan 13 according to the schedule. Good contingent of City fans going to that game I gather.

One for the rumour mill - looks like Luis Corrales is moving back to Wellington because of his wife wanting to be near her family so think there's a strong possibility he could turn out for TW very soon. If true would be a blow for ACFC and he will be greatly missed.

3-1 for Waitak, Krishna with a double. TeeDubs looked a bit more cohesive as a unit, but had problems containing De Vries and Krishna at the back. Thought Cheriton brought back some stability in the middle of the park for the Dubs.

Pretty ineffectual from Tee dub. Maybe hire Declan as technical director haha

I like the article on stuff where Calcott has said they are going to go into next game with more experience... Does this mean goodbye to the Phoenix kids?

They kind of did on Saturday with Schaeffers and Cheriton in ahead of Solomons and Biss, plus Wiremu Patrick and Karl Whalen out there.

Didn't start Solomon or Biss so dunno how much older they can get apart from starting Jamie Duncan. Did Steven Gulley end up signing?

No sure Calcott likes Biss - Been on the bench alot for a man with an A-League cap..

Im sure if Biss played for Mar he'd get a starting spot.

Must be a crap role though, having to try and incorporate players who don't get to train with you very much. Has shown this year how difficult and disruptive it is. Good to see Cherries back though, there is hope for some of us old fellas yet!
