3-1 win I'm told. Could have been 10.
Did Batty play in goal for SU?
Had a blinder of a game in Rnd one then SU coach decides to trial back up keeper for Rnd two, thought that was what pre season was for. What about Rnd three?

How's Lindsay going?
Interesting to see Gulley on the bench after being a possible Nix signing..

Opening game Gulley was superb against City as well. CLose to, if not the best on the park.
SU GK made a great stop right on half time but should have made an easy catch for the 3rd goal. TW defended well. Cracking strike for the first goal too
Strange not to see Gulley start, although IMO Murphy played really well. I think Peverly is probably better at the back.
The English winger looks pretty sharp too. Should have scored a lot more though

just wondering if team wellington ever played away from their home field ? would they ever come up and play in kapiti , upper hutt , etc etc
I LOVE LAMP
I wanna ask them to come play in kapiti who should I ask ? any links?

Think the lack of a decent field up there would be an issue. Plus transport for the visiting side.
Venues are locked in for this year anyway.

well the nix had a pre season up here so I thought it could be a go also it is only a 35 minute drive from welly
I LOVE LAMP
And it might pull in a larger crowd - novelty factor (could take games to Upper Hutt, Wainui, Kapiti, K-Town) .

Jeez. Unlimited funds at TW? If they don't win the thing they need shooting (practice).

Quote: Very accurate article from Bruce. The Cambridge club did a fantastic job hosting the game, it was a great atmosphere. The people at Cambridge are good people
The harsh reality is the playing surface and changing rooms are nowhere near up to National League standard. I was very surprised to hear NZF approved the venue
Lets face it, one week you play at Forsyth Barr , then Kiwitea and then Cambridge. ! :Quote end.
Howard Booth a NZF shoe in.

If he is only back for a month, he wouldn't be playing.
I wonder if he would ever consider another crack at the Phoenix. Where would he sit in comparison to Luke Adams?
(Not that I think I would want him, just talking out aloud)

I would expect "an ace up his sleeve" to be an attacking player !!!!!

TeeDubs beat HBU 2-1 today at Park Island. Second half goals to Charlie Henry and Hamish Watson after HBU took the lead early in the second half.
Big weekend for Tee Dub - flight delayed, Delayed flight cancelled, bussed up to Napier, disrupted build up, early game, WIN #Lads

Two wins in a row after the toughest of starts....think they have already turned it around.
TW next two "home" games are at RoF as curtain raisers to the Nix games on Sat 14 Dec (2:45 pm, vs Wanderers) and Sun 22 Dec (4:15 pm, vs WaiBOP).

So is the feeling down your way that TW can seriously challenge for a top two spot and possibly an O League place? Don't think Waitakere are as potent as they were last season.
Good question.....I hope so, but after watching TW vs Auckland it does seem there is a pretty big gap there. Reports said we could have scored numerous times vs Waitak so maybe. I think we are short a potent striker too.

They may have preferred that to getting spanked :)
