I could hear you giving him stick from the far side. Top effort!

Were you on half way by the fence? I was near there and the guys there we great. Giving the ref hell.

Yeah that was us.

Was a hackfest of the game. Great goal by Peverley, although his reward was gettting down trowelled by a teammate.

Sounds like some of this was needed.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

My understanding based on initial press release stating Issac Trevis as referee and fact that Botha is not on Prem panel is that was a very late appointment because of flight issues.

Top result TW, this is turning into the best ASBP for years. Three teams outside Auckland now vying to join ACFC for the O League places. It'll be interesting to see what interest being in the O League can attract for franchises like CU, HBU or TW? Particularly as it will be after the end of the A League season.

Wouldn't we get demolished as ACFC are the only ones who could possibly compete and single handed,y be the white knights that get us poor struggling folk the CWC we desperately need to keep the whole league afloat? That's why it's crucial that ACFC be full of foreigners as no team of New Zealanders outside of auckland could possibly compete with the island clubs.

My goodness Tegal - you're very negative today. BM gave your team a compliment and then wished you well - great reason to lay into him with your negativity.

Missionary pos. ACFC: NZ's World Club Cup flagbearers, team on a mission.

Could I just say, and not meaning to be rude, but that TW game was horrendous to watch. Like actually horrific.

As in just no quality on show? Lame and tame?

Second half was marginally better Smithy but the sheer volume of whining and fouls and completely bizarre officiating made it hard work.  Even without the sometimes dubious football.

Stil baffled how Tim Myers put his hands on the ref during a dispute over a corner vs goal kick and wasn't even spoken to.

Did Waitak play a single ball on the deck? Could believe how often they looked for the long ball.

Since their little English guy (from Barnsley?) in midfield retired they've always played like that.

bullock.  yeah, he was class

as long as i remember, waitak have been an 'over the top team' - i.e. put it over the top for totori, krishna, pearce, de vries or any of their fast guys to run on to.  when fisher played for them it was a bit different, they played in to him

That was very much the style Milicich used. Play down one channel and then switch over the top to the opposite channel in behind and let them foot race it with Krishna, de Vries and Pearce.

Ok not going to travel to Oucklund - Then get your Football fix 2nd of February #DFPark - I will make it back to run the BBQ (unless plane fail occurs) So turn up with your fever card for 1 free Beef n Cheese bun. While stocks last. if I don't get back the offer is not valid.

Poor call from someone who clearly lacks knowledge of football in this part of the world. I know this is an opinion forum and this is an opinion but what have you based this comment on? What makes you think that Team Wellington, Canterbury Utd, Hawkes Bay Utd or any team made up of predominantly kiwis couldn't compete against the Island nations club teams in the OFC?
