All I'm gonna say on this is that there's a weirdly huge focus on minutes per goal here, which isn't exactly a great way of 'testing' a player.

I was just curious on the stats to be fair. These are really the only things we can be 100% on, we dont know how he fits into the team, we as fans saw what we saw as far as Watto's performances on the field. I've watched a lot of the TW games and seen how he plays in their squad. The comparisons between him and Waine are interesting........nothing weird about it.

there's nothing weird about valid statistical analysis as long as it's not used in isolation

I'd definitely prefer xG+xA per 90, but you make do with what you have.

Perhaps more to the point if some Twitter news is true (and when is it not), Nix are to bring in 1.88 metre Charles Lokolingoy (23 years old). Photo below from when he signed with Marconi back in Jan.

A guy that on paper appears not hugely dissimilar to Watson. Both certainly older and bigger bodied than Ben Waine.

So who knows in parallel universe if the Nix were based in Welly, rather than The Gong....................

I don't see the point of the Nix signing a target man type player when they don't know how to give that kind of player any service.

Well they need emergency cover with Hemed, Ball & Sotiro all out. Hemed has a hammy injury and they can take awhile to heal. Sotiro still out for another 3-4 weeks??

Waine & Muratovic are both younger, smaller guys. My memory of Waine and his 20 odd mins against the Jets, was his was just bossed out of the game. Didn't feature at all. Harsh to judge him solely on that, but seems Uffie has decided that he needs someone with a physical presence, otherwise a young Waine/Muratovic combo could just be dominated completely out of the game.

And you would have hoped that the service to Hemed would have improved, as he got more time with his team mates, plus return of Piscopo. But unfortunately that's derailed for a time now with the Israeli injured.

Do we know how long Hemed will be out for at all? Ball is obviously 2 more games and Sotirio was apparently 4-6 weeks.

It's a hammy injury, not that easy to predict generally. Will depend how badly he's torn it, and I imagine being a bit older (age 33) it takes longer to heal. Day by day scenario??

Look at 29 yr old Chris Wood. Came off against Chelsea on 31st Jan, and still in sick bay. Listed is out of tomorrow's visit from Fulham.

33 year old Gary Hooper got ruled out early of the last few games of Nix's 2020 final campaign, after doing his hammy. Though looks like he's been injury free in India. Warmer climes good for those soft tissues.

watching the game v Hamilton. Team is dominating and only just making it count. Very lucky to have all players on the pitch after that forward roll kickout at the end of the half

I have an amazing ability to find my way out of mazes. I'm pathological.

Yeah that was right in front of us. Definitely a red card. Not the only mistake Conger made.

Feels weird not having a TeeDubs game this weekend. A glimpse into the future. Much sadness.

End of an era.  Vinnie - It's over.
