what's the YF elite's problem with the ref exactly? Was prob at least one handball in that goalmouth melee - but was at a rapid pace so hard to pick.

Good money on Waitak at $4.50

Except it wasn't during that incident. It was on half way.

aye? nah I've heard a few saying the ref was cack, and sure he might have missed a probable hand-ball penalty, but why all the angst exactly about his performance?

There was a handball on the goal line during the melee.
Musa gets yellow. Y-tak stop a goal.

Surprisingly that goalmouth incident pretty much had nothing to do with why I felt like he had a Barry Crocker.

There were just strange decisions all over the park, fouls being given that weren't fouls, waving play on when it was quite clearly a foul, stopping a great counter attack opportunity just to show a yellow card to Waitak instead of playing advantage, referee giving throw ins to the blatantly wrong team. The two yellows that led to Musa's yellow card were both soft (but I wouldn't say incorrect), but the decision to show a second yellow to Robertson was utterly bizarre. It was hardly a foul, let alone a yellow, let alone enough to show a second yellow.

The ref wasn't the only reason the TeeDubs lost, but he still had a shocker.

Is that an orange card?

Clearly orange, means he has to leave for a five minutes time-out.

Good signing that (if he turns up to play and not on holiday)

Patrick. Sorry for nit picking as it seems he had a mare of a game..

No need to stop play just because it maybe a foul.

You can not play advantage and then go back and issue a card, this used to be done a lot years ago but now if you play advantage then thats it over with and I agree does seem to hurt the none offending team more.  I think it's a case of don't call the advantage just let play go on till ball out or next stop in play then go back and issue card. You do run the risk if a goal not scored in the same play then someone taking retribution before getting the card out, then it gets really ugly for all.

I would like a ref or refs assessor to just confirm this is the interperatation.

Ref can certainly play advantage and then next stoppage book offending player.

@Scottie Road: You can play advantage on a foul and go back and caution later at the next stoppage. The key is to pick the right ones to do that with. They are few and far between.

Thanks guys, yeah I got mixed up with a quick taken free kick before giving a card as this is the one that a card can't be done later. Play has to come back no matter if the ball is in the net. A case for not being too quick to get the card out.

Cheers for putting me correct.

So pleased to hear this and that he will be getting back into competitive football. According to the Doom he is looking at the game on the 25th Jan against Hawkes Bay as his first game. Hope a lot of people get along to watch!

That's a lot of talent up front for TW's. I am guessing that Iff's will play from the bench initially.

Does signing and playing for TW make him ineligible for FFA payout for pro career "ending" injury?

Not the right place to ask or start that conversation

Where is the right place then?

Three for me, and two for them.

I would have thought that because the league is classed as amateur then it would count as ending a professional career.

I would guess that he is still in his rehab and playing games is part of that.
