Report on www.nzfootball.co.nz reckoned 450. Looked fewer to me, but I was on touchline looking across to terrace. Enjoyed the game. Enjoyed Luis' backchat too. Boyd the standout. God-awful wind.

Why only VIP's allowed into the club house bar?

Definitely wasn't fewer than 450.

In the second half I counted the people on the Eastern fence. There were 151.

I did a count of the people on the terrace. The front row had 48. There were six rows, all roughly equally populated. That's approximately 300.

I did not count those at the clubrooms end, at the BBQ, behind the goal or in the club room or on the deck.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Nice one. 151 (incl me, and I moved about a lot so you may have counted me more than once) + 300 approx on terrace + 25 approx at clubroom end + 8? diners + 10 behind goal (gatekeepers & buddies) + 1/2 doz on deck + 1 barman

= 500. 499 not incl. barman.

Plus the 5 guys (non-paying) perched on the wooden fence at southern end.

Speaking as a member of Brandon's mega-tribe, I hope the Wellington weather is beautiful and the turnout above expectations and the game brilliant.

Cracking day down at Davey F. WaiBop battled hard and scored a couple of good goals. Didn't really create much else and we're always going to struggle after going down to ten men.

Got the result, Bechar will add to what's there.

The band was alright, maybe make it more football related.

What did the Waikato guy get sent off for?

Don't know if I was underestimating WaiBop but I was surprised at how close the game was. I was expecting complete dominance by TW.

Was a great day though

Love how the Twin Terrors Gwyther and Smith go to work.

Corralas beyond superlatives.

.

Honorable mention for Cole.

Has been strong since coming back to TW.

Brings hard, calm, intellingent play to the midfield.

Good passing, taking good options finding outlets in space.

Congratulations TW for putting four past ACFC - no-one, not J League, O league, A League or Champions of Africa has done that. Great to see a Wellington team playing proper attacking football. Look forward to the return leg in Kiwitea Street in February and hopefully playing you guys in the O League final next year.

There's a good summer football team in Windy city and it's not Australian so get down and support it!

PS - can we please have Luis back.

Crikey you Phoenix lot are so insecure. I just popped back to praise TW because I think they deserve it. By all accounts it was a tremendous performance. Nice to have tough local competition again. Seems if you say anything positive about TW it's construed as denigrating the Nix somehow. By saying TW's not Australian I'm merely stating a fact. By the way Brockie couldn't hit a barn door from six feet.

You should be happy, the anti-ACFC brigade will be drooling with delight. It's going to take JV weeks to calm down from this one.

Now I'll leave you to it - stand at ease!

You Sir have never ever found anything amusing. .......ACFC needed a good dicking and your response to any post from  north of the Bombays is sh*te. Team welly won and deservedly so. For once in your life see a a positive.

That's not very positive because Auckland were so honking today that it wasn't hard to be better than them.

Great result from TW - it can only help build football's profile across NZ. Nothing like a bit of strong competition to amp things up - I'm sure ACFC will benefit from it, Team Wellington certainly will.

Crowd wasn't big. A few hundred. Standard TW crowd.

The Uber thing was a good idea but didn't really catch. Back to the drawing board.
