Yeah it's a shame I thought he was a great player. My guess is the French lad doesn't cut the mustard or we would have seen him by now unless he's injured?

Wheres one_eyed_nik he seems to get the inside gossip.

I'm told the French lad is not very good

Thought that might be the case. Wasn't there another defender also hanging around from the Islands?

Yeah Michael Boso, think he only came over just before the CWC because of injury. He gone as well?

Yeah, Boso is goneski too.

My understanding is that Steven Lecefel turned out to be the bastard child of Anthony Hudson and Ali Dia

I took familiar face as former TW..

It's apparently Bill Robertson which would be incredibly underwhelming considering how much of a cliff he's fallen off ability wise in recent years

Maybe he''s just a back up/bench warmer. Just in case!  They have lost a couple of backs recently and wasn't one of their replacement backs injured in a game a few weeks ago!

It also looks like a case of "last one out, please turn off the lights" at Waitak.

Comet can confirm this - as of the 15th of Feb.

Not as up to date with the financial side of things for the NZFC but must be their last season surely

They've lost quite a bit of experience recently. Even if he doenst play a hell of a lot he'll certainly add leadership!

Routine 2-0 win over Ba. TW struck early, played in second gear for the rest of the match without ever really being tested too much

13-0 win over Kiwi. Some on their side wouldn't make it in Sunday league but Lotial Mano, their number 15, was an obvious class above everyone else and is only 17, one to keep an eye on. Goalkeeper Fatu also looked switched on despite conceding 13. For TW Ross Allen scored 6 and Nati got a hat trick

So NZF pull out of two AWs game in Malaysia, citing clash with Handy Prem semis as a major contributor.

They tried to change dates of semis, but the OFC Champions League game dates are locked in for both ACFC & TW, making it hard to move the dates of the Handy semis.

TW play champions of Samoa and win 13-0. What a complete waste of time. Oceania football par excellence!

Why are the champions of Samoa, even in the OFC Champions League with the big gun sides? Surely they can just be knocked out in some preliminary round?  Samoa has a popn of only 200,000 (plus expats), and lets be brutally honest rugby & league is what they play. In 100 years it will be the same, their football 'growth' potential is nil to well........ nil.

Meanwhile the Handy Prem is dragged out with split rounds, and any game not involving ES, CU & TW sorting out the 2-4 rankings, is pointless. Whilst fans of the AWs bang their heads, wondering why the national body can't be organised for a March FIFA window, but the Solomon Islands can be!

Why can't we just be like Australia, and leave this basket case Confed.

Imagine if there was no Nix, and 13-0 OFC games was the football diet. Supplanted with Chris Wood & Tyler Boyd youtube goal highlights, plus an annual ACFC/TW game at the CWC.

They qualified through a preliminary round.

Well it wasn't tough enough. 13-0 scorelines achieve nothing. Waste of everyone's time.

Beating a Tongan side 7-1, who themselves beat an American Samoan side 5-1. The horror...

Predictions for today's game?

Erakor are physical and will have a boisterous crowd behind them, but other than that shouldn't pose too much threat. A draw would work for both teams though, so will be interesting to see how TeeDubs approach it.

Absolute worldie from Ross Allen and a slick JHS double make it a 3-0 win, Erakor looked pretty sharp but were lacking in defense

Erakor > Ba. Really paid the price for missing two pens against them.

Quarters are 6/7 April, and semis I believe 27/28 April. Final I think hasn't been confirmed yet.
