Like Feverish i  really like the Boom Boom Boom, Let me hear ya say Leo Leo.

Its short and sweet and to the point, and everyone can lean the words after the first time we do it.

this has to be the number 1 chant for Leo.

I think the chants are good, but speaking from the point of view of someone outsiode the zone and not really up with all the chants, having a sticky thread with all the planned chants would be useful. It is hard to pick up on the new opnes when they die out after the first run, "Oh Wellington" is easy to follow cos its repeated so often. at least we didn't have to resort to clap clap etc Phoenix one.

i think Phoenix clap clap clap is one where the whole stadium can get involved - so it aint that bad.

I totally agree with you, I like it when we get everyone going, its just a little tedious when repeated too many times.

I know the issue of song sheets has been discussed before, and i'm not even sure I like the idea myself, but:

The popularity of clap clap clap, shows people will get involved when they know whats going on.
We have to accept that not everyone in Yellow Fever, never mind the whole fanbase visits these forums.
And the acoustics (and complexity) of some of the chants means its hard to hear what they are from elsewhere in the stadium.

Perhaps a page of songs, linked to on the main menu up the top, next to podcasts/tv is a good compromise?

Fair compromise peteremcc...

Song sheets should never ever be given out under any circumstances though..its ultra lame..like those netball bangers..and mascots...and MCs yelling "defence...defence" into a mic...and stadium music...and dress ups...and large novelty hats...and streakers...

"Whos that team they call the Phoenix
whos that team we all adore,
there the boys in Yellow and Black
and we need a new right back
cause Christe is real slack"

Was attempted when down at the Perth Glory game but never really caught on
Guess with Mulligan just in this chant sort of goes down the loo

if we experience any quiet periods (as we did on sunday) i'd go for

"sing in a minute
we're gonna sing in a minute
sing in a minute
we're gonna sing in a minute"

and if anyone else is as lacklustre as CCM

to the tune of "let's all have a disco"

"Mainland pushed us harder,
Mainland pushed us harder

If we're going to abuse our own players it will need to be a hell of a lot funnier than this

easy,

"ohh leeeo, leeeeeeooooooooooooo"

to the tune of the guards in the wizard of oz. easy enough for all to learn and repeat.

The unfortunate thing is it is also to the tune of "Games" by New Kids On the Block:

missed that one , but definately worth a crack on sunday (if he's on, be especially good if he came off the bench)

Another NZ-based chant that Hard News and I composed at work:

Based on Dragon's "Rain":

You won't go around McKain------ain,
Ta-ken out by Jon McKain.

You've inspired me tigers. More verses will definitely help with the flow.

Now you're on the ground in pain-----ain
You shouldn't mess with Jon McKain

That's a lie.  I have it on good authority that News only knows where his carpark is at work so seldom does he visit his actual office.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.
