Worst chant of the season - "Stand up for the Phoenix".

Just not appropriate when we're 0-1 down.

I'm not a fan of it, but why is it not appropriate then ?

Did I miss a notice that said we only support them when they are leading ?

Personal opinion: it's a chant for when you are 2-0 up and running the opposition ragged.

no for some reason we start with that chant from their first touch of the ball

seems to work in the oppositions favour

the "stand up for the phoenix" though was a tad late @ 85mins gone down 1-0 everyone who stood up probably left

I think its a chant that can be seen to the players that we will support them no matter what.

I'm not saying I go to see them lose or play like crap because I don't....it should be play to win always!

I'd much rather see it used than " we're playing all the football" or likewise!

but

any chant is a good chant (well, usual rules about racism etc still apply)

but what is it with folks on here saying ,"i don't like this one, that one's crap, i'm not gonna sing etc, etc??"

just open your gob and join in

when we've got a wall of noise for the full 90, then we can maybe pick and chose the 'best' chants.... until then just f**king SING!

I hate to say it but when the stand up for the phoenix call came around I was a little unsure, kinda felt wrong, especially as it was so late, the general reaction around me wasn't so encouraging either.

Queenslander 3x a year.

Yeh normally it works and makes a lot of noise but it kinda fell flat that time. I couldn't understand the LEO chant until I got back and looked at the chants forum, should definately get that one running across the whole zone.
