He would be the key which takes us back to the premier league if he stays I believe. But if we stay in the champions league, I have no problem with that at all. As long as the debt is wiped and we're using a sustainable model so we don't end up with this debt problem ever again.

Well, just got home, that was a very interesting match! We held our own very well, reminded me of Tottenham hotspur game, so many close calls. Brilliant.

hard luck guys, played bloody well

good effort Pompey, rode your luck a bit in 1st half but definitely a solid 2nd half

and I'm sure that neutrals all around the world would have been impressed by your club's efforts this season - particularly since Smiling Avram took the helm

for mine, your lot's attitude and effort in the match made it one of the more interesting finals this decade

Yep well done - a good end to an awful season.  Hopefully you can sort out your money worries and be back up in the EPL before too long.

Surprised with the effort Portsmouth gave into this game, well done. After 1st half I thouight it actually might be the day for James, with the amount of luck he had. Shame Pompey didn't make it, but still thumbs up for them.

Can't wait for next season. Gonna stream games online. Not sure of the set-up for championship league games. Guessing they are televised? Also guessing skysport doesn't air them either, only the end of season play-offs.. Anyone keen to elaborate on how it's done for me? hahaAzevo2010-05-18 16:34:56

excellent, will look into that.

Jamo is an absolute asset for pompey in the champs league, like to see him stay with us, I reckon he's got a good few years left in him. Maybe the nix' should look at him if he decides to call it quits, heh. I can only dream that..

Wondering who we'll have for champions league next season...

Blimmin 7th place Liverpool to take our place I hear?

Grant has resigned. can't say I didn't see this coming, was bound to happen eventually. he is brilliant, He does deserve to stray in top flight, hopefully be able to find a more stable club, looking like west ham, but they're in a bit of jiffy at the moment I hear as well. I really hope clubs move away from putting themselves into debt. It will catch up with you eventually.

Also see Koroma, Finnan, Ashdown and Basinas have been released.

I don't know much about the youth team sadly, but hear there are a few chaps in it who are worthy for first team?

Can't wait for this season to start, begin working our way to top again. <3 Football.

Club America, DC United?

Not sure what the 3rd team is.. "Edmonton Select"? Guess a team of random players? Hope pompey do well!

Saw this bout 2 days ago.

Guess we'll see how this goes. Hoping for a bounce back, but I am starting to think that may not be best thing to do.

David James to start in goal for England vs. Nigeria! Woop!Azevo2010-06-19 05:19:33

Cheers mate, if I'm ever over in England make sure to buy you one well as well haha. Hoping to get there some time definitely.

So Boateng and James only pompey players to go through to the quarter finals. Also most pompey players ever to be in a world cup, good stuff.

Not sue on this Cotterill bloke yet, only 5 years older than James haha.

My mate in the airforce said there was an ex-Portsmouth defender down in Blenheim, plays as an old boy for some football club, pretty stoked to hear that.

Boatengs goal was brilliant for Ghana, glad to see he's still in it. I reckon we'll probably see him maybe move on to different things perhaps? Bit Gutted his brother decided to play for Germany, he could work wonders for Ghana I reckon.

So now we have just K.P Boateng left in the world cup now that England got.. Slaughtered really.

Saw the first match that really matters is for Carling Cup? Stevenage F.C.. in August. Still long way before the beginning of the rise again.

Not sure when I'll find out, my mate down in Woodburn reckons he should be able to find out.

I think he said he played in the 60-70's Thought maybe the internet could tell me, but no luck haha. I think he's playing sorta social football down there or something. Be good to know who it is, maybe one of the guys my dad use to go watch back in the day.

DC united beat us 4-0.. Daniel Allsopp former tard got hat-trick surprisingly. It also reads the journey there was crap and in general pompey. Understandable they got a chopping.

TAB has pompey at $28 to win the championship. Burnley are at $11 and Hull at $22.

I will be trying up most to follow pompey in championship even though my championship knowledge is very limited.

First match not so crash hot i see. Coventry bet us 2-0, but! We beat Stevenge 2-1 in Carling Cup! So, things are looking mixed. Am feeling comfortable with where pompey is at the moment.

Am sad to see Boateng go, was waiting for it after we dropped down.

I see Genoa bought him for $5 million and is instantly being loaned to Milan, bit f**ked up I thought. Bloody Ities, what are they thinking? Hope he has great success at Milan! He is quite amazing to watch.

Bottom of the table, beaten by Cardiff 2-0.. Not great start for the boys.

Watched the start of it, then got capped by the f**kers we know as telecom, we looked good starting, then went down from there..

Not a pompey fan but do play for a club that plays in the same kit.
Had a coach at a club I played for in Chch that played for them, he was also a south of England sprint champion. A top guy.

Hello,

I live in Wellington, though I am Christchurch born and I have followed Portsmouth FC and that damn Harry Redkrapp has alot to answer for as well. I keep tabs on the club and I also admonish Harry at evey opportunity I get in my twitter page.

Cheers

Wicked mate, it's gonna be hard following in the champs league, but well worth it.

just read Dave Kitson and Liam Lawrence from Stoke are signed. Still, the squad is a bit limited at the moment..
Feeling worried, especially being bottom of table, but things need to pan out first. I reckon we'll be looking at a mid table finish.. maybe lower mid, which is a bummer.

Harry is a lieing thieving scum bag who has ruined a once proud middle of the road team...

Wished him on the Scum but some Scum supporter wished him back...

I think one word summed him up for me really.

c**t.

A Scummer wished him back? Surely he would be better than what they've got at the moment? Don't they have a bloody caretaker atm?!

The only saving grace is that we are at least above the Scum.. Not that I dislike them that much.. Name just sticks..
Loved the Cup but it was too expensive...
