Brumbys, re: Pepe, I think he might be done.
He's had opportunities this season and has not delivered. Arteta's comments on Nketiah yesterday made it pretty clear to me that Pepe is being out-trained right now, by both Nketiah and Martinelli.
Pepe got the starts at the beginning of the season. He was unavailable for one game, but started the other 4 out of our first 5 PL matches. No goals, no assists.
The next game he was dropped, and we scored 3 times in a break-through performance against Spurs.
He was overtaken by Saka and ESR from that point, and now there are opportunities again with ESR and Saka starting to fatigue, Arteta is giving Martinelli and now Nketiah the chances. Martinelli has looked good and justified that. Nketiah got the nod off the bench yesterday as he's out-trained Pepe and earned it, going by Arteta's comments.
Personally I feel we're ready to jettison both Auba and Pepe and replace them with one big striker signing. If we did that, I think it would be useful to retain Lacazette - he's a more valuable squad player than Aubameyang, and more of an all-rounder off the bench.
I think Odegaard, ESR, Saka, Martinelli, Lacazette and Balogun could carry our forward roles with the addition of a top level striker to lead the line (assuming Nketiah is going after rejecting the new contract offer).
Obviously a big call re: Auba but I feel it might be just about time now.
