I would table a free train ticket to Newcastle and give him away - and someone has the " cheek " to call him a winger.Good player in the French League but seems way out of his dept in the Premiership.

Surprised no one on here has made comment of your 'dealings' in the transfer market today?

i.e. being outbid by the mighty Man City for Robinho?
02 Sep 02:34 · edited 09 Sep 05:07
Chelsea fans only talk about "important" stuff on this website Paul.

I hope none of them purchased the Robinho shirts that were on sale at the club shop.

no, we were watching Drogba play and beat Arsenal reverves  3-2  away so with him back to fitness we don't need Robinho.
THIS IS IMPORTANT STUFF, anytime we beat Arsenal

not too sure on where he will play, but im certain he is coming, as wright phillips is out, and they have already started selling robinho shirts in the megastore!

Something about eggs and the counting of said eggs before they were to hatch should be included somewhere in here.

Three for me, and two for them.

i personally think we should have sold malouda, and kept swp.

just read that! looks like we have another big spending club, but if man city win the league, no one will say that they bought it (despite spending 70mil) but if chelsea win it, we will just be called the big buyers. funny that.

Chelsea in NOT paying silly money shock!!  Astonishing turn of events with Robinho to be honest given that he held a press conference at the weekend to say how desperate he was to join Chelsea.  Sid Lowe on the Guardian Podcast reckons he's over-rated anyway - but then I would say that now he's gone to City!  Good luck to him if he thinks that's a step up from Real Madrid.  It will all end in tears mark my words.

Go on the Ass-en-all thread - your having a laugh!!!!! - most people who follow Arsenal are very "funny" - sorry but Arsenal without van Persie,  are very average.

ps - did go on there last season when you had the Premiership all but WON,around late Feb but we all know what happen - you guess it, van persie got injured and Arsenal fell to bits

Errrm, that was Eduardo who got injured. Robin was injured well before then.

Three for me, and two for them.

RVP has been injured the majority of the time since we've had him. We've hardly seen what we're like with him consistently playing. As Buffon states, he was injured long before Feb - we basically played the season without him. A lack of thinking seems to be a common theme with your posts.

Read a book.

People on the Aresnal thread are funny?  There's a LOT of stuff on there, none of it funny as far as I can see.  Posting for the sake of posting.  Quantity over quality. This debate is pretty lame anyway.  We all know Arsenal are taking the moral high ground over any club who spends more money than them on the basis they are doing things the right way and investing in youth.  The fact that it's cheap, foreign youth is neither here nor there apparently.

OK I have said my piece.  Now let's sit back and watch the Arsenal bile rising tempered with the usual cheap abuse.

Steve Clarke has apparently resigned as first team coach to hook up with Franco at West Ham.  Huge, huge blow for Chelsea if they have to let him go.

Nice piece on Zola's entrance into Premier League management here...

http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/stevewilson/2008/09/zola_to_bring_style_to_upton_p.html

And some classic thoughts by one of West Hams fans......am sure there's plenty of grass roots English footie supporters who feel similar to this too...

Zola has been engaged, regardless of the fact that he has no experience of managing a club side at any level and doesn't even have the necessary licence.
Has it come to the stage where British managers are considered so useless that a foreigner, any foreigner, has to be better?
There have been at least as many foreign failures as successes in the Premiership. In fact Wenger and Mourinho stand out as the only true successes, I certainly can't see that Benitez has achieved more than he should have, taking into account all the resources he has had. If you compare the situation Benitez inherited at Liverpool, with what 'arry took over at Portsmouth, it makes one wonder if Chelsea and Man U. would have had such an easy ride if 'arry had been managing Liverpool.
I've now lost all interest in West Ham. They no longer bear any resemblance to the club I've followed for forty years.
How can foreign owners and a foreign manager possibly relate to someone from the East End?
They can't and I doubt that they'd even want to. All they want is our money and unfortunately there are too many mugs prepared to give it to them.
I'm looking forward to the day when all Premier League clubs are owned and managed by foreigners with a fully foreign playing staff, none of whom, like Berbatov, owes any allegiance to the club they serve.
They can then play the 39th game abroad, together with the other 38 for all I care.
I know that most of you will think that I'm a traitor and will continue to follow West Ham regardless of who owns them, who manages them or who plays for them, even if the players can't understand a word of what you're chanting.
Trigger from Only Fools And Horses claims that he's had his road sweeper's broom for 20 years. "It's had 17 new heads and 14 new handles" but it's still the same broom. At least his broom looks the same, "your" team regularly changes its strip so that you have to spend more money to keep up to date.

3-1 at the Middle Eastlands......and to come back after Robinho put them 1-0 ahead after 12 mins.  Great goals by Carvalho, Lampard and Anelka gave us a commanding win.  JT got a controversial red card  with 10 to go andwill miss next Sas visit to Old Trafford......
