signed Nick Proschvitz for 2.6M, decent signing for us (well, so my video scouting suggests - and we all know how reliable that is)

Abdoulaye Faye as possibility on a free (though his age seems to vary from 31-34 depending which web-rag you look at)

scraped past Rotherham on pens to make the 2nd round of the Capital one/Carling/milk/league cup (not something we take for granted)more importantly

Koren has re-signed

bring on those squaking, winged shitters next saturday (now, now SiNz don't recalibrate that predictor of yours on the basis of a bit of poetic lisence)

in a shock effort we've scored 3 in one game! even better Bolton could only muster one goal

5th spot - nice!

good to see Aluko score and new lad Quinn

Proschvitz consigned to the bench

freaked out when i tried to find this thread and the threads jumped from 28 days ago -to 5 years ago

thought my beloved hull city thread had been scuppered by the  Tangiwai error

anyway - all good - now found

in the time i was 'locked out' by another Tangwai error the Tigers have conspired to lose 3 in a row

but Saturday got us 3 points so although 10 we are only a point from top 6

back in top 6 (at 6) courtesy of a 2-1 win at Bristol City

just looked at the 1st few pages back in Jan 2008 - heady days!!!!!

just a chance that this season could produce a similar outcome (and you, you little jinx bastard, faintly visible in the top right corner of the screen - can fuck off!)

CMON 'u 'ULL!!

33 rd min one nil up at Derby

a win would take us to 2nd overnight (at least)

can't find free live stream - settling for the commentary of Grimsby v Wrexham (the explanation isn't worth the typing or reading)

edit

conceded right on half time (what is it about the teams i support?!)

but Big Abdoulaye has put us 2-1 up

holiday good mood returns

Stockdale back with us on loan (just as well - Jakupovic was gifting goals to various opposition sides)

interested in DJ Campbell and Gedo from Egypt

sadly Elmo has been recalled by Sunderland and Aluko is out again with Achilles problems

Elmo back until end of season

Gedo signed along with Fathi

hopefully Gedo'sratio of a goal every other game for Egypt translates into a few for us

Sorry to interrupt, but it's kind of Hull assocated. Phil Brown has applied for the vacant manager's position at Partick Thistle! Haha. That will go straight into the shredder, I suspect.

He apparently also applied for the gigs at Dundee and Dundee United. Smacks of desperation a bit. Was he really that bad that he can't find another coaching gig in England?

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

laughed heartily, apology accepted by all of us here

PB has expressed interest in a load of jobs - in various uk leagues

sooner or later i expect someone will employ him, but not if they ask George Boateng's opinion

while your in the vicinty Jag, and as all the other thread contributors seem strangely busy elsewhere,  I'll just quietly mention we are back in 2nd spot

still 2nd, now 6 points above Watford

grateful for Peterborough's help

4 games to go

2 of them to be played before kids football next Saturday

CMON

2 games to go for us and watford:

we need to win one or watford needs to lose one

or watford can draw two,

or we can draw 1 and watford can win 1 and draw 1

(if think those are the minimum acceptable outcomes)

well, it is hard to feel good at 4.00 am after that

looks like we need to beat Cardiff next week - on current form, that looks a bit dicey
