You mean hard but fair surely. That nice Billy Bremner (God rest his soul) would never have done anything underhand.

Is it true that Blackburn fans call Burnley fans (amongst other things) Dingles, after that unsophisticated family on Emerdale Farm?

Dingles?  Couldn't possibly comment and nothing compared to what Burnley fans call B***** fans!

Let's not forget that this is the club that cheated (effectively) its way out of a 10 point deduction for administration as it declared it the day before the final match.

Wow, that's impressive. Complete utter sh*te in such a short sentence. 25 points deducted within a three month period. Yes, absolutely, cheated their way out of a punishment.

Unable to sign any players, refusal to hand back the golden share, judged by a non-independent panel of peers that have a vested interest in Leeds having a disadvantage. Yes, they obvioulsy cheated their way out any ramifications and were handed a balanced and fair punishment. Tosh.

Bring up history why don't you - mention dirty Leeds. Funny how the likes of Tommy Smith, Nobby Stiles, Chopper Harris or Dave Mackay are held up as footballing icons for their aggressive play. Forget the fact that Leeds played a the highest level for over a decade, winning repeated honours - they must have kicked their way there.

But those days are long gone, so here's a few more facts for you, but these aren't distorted:
29467
27808
29177

That's the attendance for Leeds' last three home games. League 1.

A few more stats
Won 9
Drawn 2
Lost 0

29 points secured, only 14 on the board. Achieved from a makeshift team that were put together four weeks before the start of the season.

You have an interesting take on events, but it pretty much bollox....

Chopper Harris had nothing on Norman "Bite yer legs off" Hunter!

I think a lot of the resentment against Leeds of late has been down to one person - Ken Bates. The man who is perfect at speaking whilst chewing on a leather shoe too often. I tend to think if Leeds had a different chairman, their punishments would have been a lot less severe - pay-backs a bitch, Ken.

Alas its Leeds that are paying the price. still the team are playing above the call of duty as the results are showing. Not all doom and gloom at  Elland Road, unlike Loftus Road.

it's a hell of an acheivement, especailly given the hanidcaps placed on the club.

I disagree about the animosity being all old Ken's fault though. Hating Leeds, especially by the media, but also by the football authorities, goes back to the 60s, when Leeds started to challenge and regularly beat (media darlings)Man U. and then the vitriol has been there ever since, chairmen have come and gone in that time.

But it creates a seige mentality which works ultimately in our favour - marching on together.   23,000 tickets already sold for the next home game v millwall and still a week to go.

QPR will rise again also, one day.

Leeds United want their 15-point deduction to be adjudicated by the High Court rather than the Football Association, reports BBC Radio Leeds.

Missing Gus?? Wise conceded he had made some unwise subs in the cup game. Might Gus have provided some additional wisdom in that situation.

Or maybe its just one of those cup upsets. No Wemberleee til next year.

Poor crowd though - or maybe the prestige of the FA cup has gone now with more Euripean stuff.

Down as in looking down?

Admittedly Burnley have won only 2/3rds of the number of English Championships as Mighty Leeds (only one of which was in your time!).  Mind you, if your 'time' was just a tad longer, you might have noticed that Leeds' 50 years in the top flight is only one short of Burnley's 51.  So well-done.

Let's hope we both get back up to where we belong!
