Walk in the park this morning. Torres' first goal was pure magic! The shots dreams are made of. Great goal from Johnson too. 4th's looking good but let's tackle Benfica now.
Monday's are so much better when they start like this...

We could have scored 6 at least. Oh it's starting to feel like last year again. Different formation to huh? 1 centre mid and then, Babel, Maxi, Gerrard and Kuyt with Torres up front. far more attacking. Is Benfica this Friday?

Strips are ok I like the 1970's reference. Can't be the actual ones though, because the inside of the collar on the away strip says "Your Will Never Walk Alone" (Maybe a minor/major mistake by the kit makers)
The Home strip with the Polo shirt looks a little like Chelseas home shirt. I like the away strip...if it's real

Calmed down (after another derby defeat) and that first half was absolutely wonderful. Brilliant stuff. Attack, attack, press press, it all was wonderul to watch. Glad to see.
And yes, Torres... What a magnificent player. Could have absolutely destroyed them. He's on fire at the moment. Also was impressed with basically everyone. Agger looked good, Insua was excellent, Johnson was attacking loads, Masch covered everything, Maxi was brilliant- some wonderful touches. Probably the most disappointing was Babel. But other than that, a great day in the office. Best half we've played all season.
Benfica away next. Oh, and come on Wigan! It's a long shot though...

Another Spaniard set to sign for the Reds Javi Martinez a strong Midfielder from Athletico Madrid is only 21 get rid of Lucas Perennial strugglers Liverpool looked far better with the line up in Midfield without him ,better attack, better movement by Johnson and more scoring opportunities.Keep it up now

Javi from Atletico Madrid? Hmmm. Imma thinking you mean Bilbao...
Agree with what you're saying, kind of. But I just don't think Lucas and Masch can work in a midfield too well in these kind of games. Don't think its Lucas' fault at all.

I'd rather look like him than Drogba, anyway. All the girls love Torres!!

Alberto Aquilani has been ruled out of Perennial strugglers Liverpool's Europa League clash with Benfica, manager Rafael Benitez today confirmed.
The Italian international sustained an ankle injury in training this morning and won't be with the Reds' squad which flies to Lisbon later today.
"He will not be available for this game," said Benitez. "He had a problem with his ankle this morning and we have to fix it.
"It doesn't seem too serious but it's the same ankle as before and so we'll have to analyse the situation carefully."
Gargh!

Do any of you guys know if Benfica are likely to play Nuno Gomes? If so I may get up and watch this one.
I reckon he'd be pretty good in Europe.

Probably better than half the Perennial strugglers Liverpool team. Sorry, didn't come on here to stir, was a genuine inquiry.
For the record this one could go either way. Benfica are flying high at the moment, they're doing fantastically well at home and their goal difference comparatively is brilliant.

The worst part has to be the short turnaround...and a trip to Birmingham is not easy.
Agree. And it's really important for us to get good result away in Portugal, and then a win against Brum. Well, it was unlucky for your lot, tbf.
