Yeah you're correct Leggy, all clubs have some dickhead scummy fans. But you have to admit, Chelsea have a rather high percentage of them, largely because of the associations UG alludes to above. Same goes for Rangers fans. Both BNP-loving foreign-hating Twits.
Liverpool Thread - Premier League Champions* 2019/20 (Part 2)
Must you always take everything so seriously and make them personal? It was just 2 things I had witnessed in response to another similar story. Have certainly seen scummy fans of other clubs. Anyway, have come out of surgery and general anaesthetic today so can't be bothered going any further with this.
It was not personal. Sorry to hear about your surgery.
I am aware of all the things said about Chelsea fans and have seen it with my own eyes. However, I have met many so called 'football fans ' from lower division clubs that are also scum of the earth. The other side of the coin is have been to Euro tournaments and met English and fans from around Europe that were fantastic.
Winner, winner chicken dinner AND the Studge scores first game back.
5 points off third place, last six Prem Games WWDWWW
Next 5 Prem games have some tough fixtures in there though...
- Everton away
- Spurs home
- So'ton away
- Citeh home
- Burnley home
Also in that period we have Bolton (FA Cup) and Besiktas home and away in Europa.

Those Spurs and Southampton games give us a real crack at the top four if we win both. The City game will be tough but you never know. Disappointing if we don't get all three points at Everton and Burnley.
As for deadline day, this is the quietest deadline day we've had in yonks! Maybe buying and selling half the team every six months isn't what we need right now though. In Brendan We Trust?
Unrelated to transfers (sort of)...
Does anyone wonder why Liverpool have never been the target of a purchase/takeover from Billionaire Russian or Sheikh?
You'd think that Liverpool as a club would have the history, the allure and the glamour that seems to be requisite for those purchases. Does it simply come down to location (i.e. insane money now behind Monaco, PSG)?
Was just thinking about it, and while FSG aren't poor, they certainly aren't the bottomless pits of cash that other teams have.

Yeah not sure. I assume there's a lot of different factors at play, not just a rich chap getting all Andy from Little Britain on it.
IIRC.... Chelsea didn't cost a whole bunch (comparatively) when RA bought them and City's previous owner was in some sort of financial difficulty when he sold.
Not a bad little period for Liverpool and fans!
- Best form in Europe
- LFC to RAdelaide and Brisbane
- Coutinhio signed unto 2020
- Into next round of the FA Cup
- Merseyside Derby this weekend!!
Onwards and upwards Ladies and Gentlemen

On the other side of the fence you could get a 'Glazer' and leverage the club with an insane amount of debt.

Sorry, just re-read this. Do you remember we were going to be purchased by DIC (Dubai Investment Company) however at the last minute Moores or was it Rick Parry went with Hicks and Gillet? They basically sucked all the money out of the club and gained way too much debt. I seem to remember we were even considering administration at some point.
Think we must keep this is mind when we think of FSG. Especially when we consider how much money our recent managers have blown on terribly overpriced signings (andy carroll). I think FSG are now starting to manage the club in a financially sensible way, once we have the new stadium up and less debt we should be able to spend more freely as we do make money.
Pretty lonely over there, just me and Dougie.
As he says, tend to frequent The Fighting Cock for Spurs talk and Dear Mr Levy for good thoughts.

1. The best thing that happened in the Jan window was NOT losing Lucas. Although he was out this morning , he's been fundamental in the run of recent form.
2.If Rogers had any sense , he'd get another CB and let Can move into the midfield. That kid is starting to look like the business. Oh , as above , Markovic is showing some real talent at last.
3. Both Jr and I always thought that Ibe potentially is better than Sterling. Long way to go but promising .
4. Tell Sterling's "advisers" to GGF .
5. Was dropping Mignolet potentially the making of him? Still can't kick though.
6. One day , Sakho will have a game where he plays bloody well and doesn't make one horrendous f... up.

- Ibe could certainly be better than Sterling and Liverpool 'insiders' from Macca Rumours sight believe that Ojo could be even better again.
- Mingolet has been much better since being dropped, he's almost a different player - more control of the box and in the air.
- Sakho is decent but he telegraphs his passes and turns very slowly.

Getting well ahead of myself but looking forward to sorting out details to catch up with all the other fans. One of the highlights of the Melbourne game was spending all afternoon in Fed square and just watching it fill up red shirts. Looking forward to a repeat!
