Quite the injury list now and still in 4 competitions. The young fellas will be getting a run it would seem!

Still, winning 1 - 0 away to Stoke is a good results after the Hammers game.

Didn't watch the game but sounds like Lucas played well as a cover CB. Even punctured the ball with a tackle!!! <tear rolls down cheek>

As much as I love to give Liverpool shark, the kids did look quite good. Klopp should play the kids again. At Anfield on a decent pitch they should cream Exeter. Exeter faded badly. All second half was Liverpool looking to walk it into the net.

Looked more like a Klopp team against Exeter. Some of those young guys are super talented. Intensity is different tho. I'm glad Klopp gave the boys a run

If we get past Exeter, we play West Ham in the next round at Anfield.

Toure passed fit for Thurs? Who else? What do you guys reckon your lineup's gonna be?

No offence; I guess I'm posting in a Liverpool thread too LOL.

We'll be watching the Arsenal game at The Pub up on The Terrace. Not sure about the Exeter game yet.

Sakho is looking keen to play as well, Mingolet questionable as well (injury AND ability). Hendo and Ibe may also be available so if they are, I'd like to see this line up.

                                       Mingolet/Ward (recalled from Aberdeen)

Clyne   Toure   Sakho  Moreno

Can

Hendo                       Allen

Ibe               Lallana

Firmino

Arsenal vs Liverpool was once the great yellow fever derby. What ever happened to El Niño and The Kop?

I think Lucas will play instead of ibe leighbo. Push can a bit more forward, that's assuming hendo is fit.

Ibe over Lucas

Milner over Allen

Not a bad looking line-up, considering the injury situation, Bench looks a little thin though.

Liverpool: Mignolet, Clyne, Toure, Sakho, Moreno, Can, Henderson, Milner, Lallana, Ibe, Firmino. Subs: Ward, Benteke, Caulker, Lucas, Allen, Smith, Teixeira.

  • Firmino is fast becoming a better option up front than anyone else (with Studge out)
  • Mingolet is terrible again after showing better signs earlier this season. Not sure why there are rumours of a new 5 year contract - maybe to bump his price up?
  • We still can't defend or take set piece plays. When Benteke came on, we started playing short corners...why?
  • The mindset of the team to keep going even after twice conceding equalizers and then the 3rd goal was refreshing.
  • Sitting in 9th but 5 points from 4th. Not overly happy but other results keeping us in the hunt.

Good summary Leighbo. Wow We are again talking about Mignolet. And as you say, he appears to have been offered an extension. I 100% trust Klopp so let's hope he knows what he's doing.

Well that stung.

  • Ibe has so much talent but need to know when to get the cross in instead of taking to the byline EVERY time.
  • Lallana and Hendo were missing, nothing of use from them.
  • Why were 4 guys challenging Fellaini for the ball (and he beat all of them) while leaving Rooney unmarked?
  • We're breaking fast, getting into good attacking positions and then just run out of idea. Lack of quality runs in behind the defence is costing us and this was the area where Studge and Suarez excelled.
  • Milner has been a disaster.
  • Firmino and Can the only bright lights.

Mignolet with a new five year contract.

Thought hendo played well. Just awful that we let them score with basically their only chance. Lacking bite up front tho huh?

Why would they do that?

  • Up his price for any potential buyers?
  • See him as improving?
  • Ward as future #1 with Mingolet the long term #2?

Was thinking today......Klopps first few signings have been...... Awful! Caulker.....extend Migs contract. Hard not to be a bit concerned given our history. (Not including Grujic or whatever that Serbian dude is)

Absolutely brilliant post from RAWK on Sturridge:

He's a deadbeat dad. You rarely see him. You grow to resent him a bit because at times it feels like you'll never see him again. Part of you gets used to life without him. Fudge him... we don't need him.

Then he shows up one day out of the blue. He's armed with a handful of the latest computer games that you wanted. The new Fifa?!? Mum would never buy you that... He's loud and funny and happy... not like mum who's struggling to make things work on her own, without him... Mum's no fun.

But deadbeat dad is great. He takes you out to the zoo. He buys you the biggest ice-cream with not one but TWO fudgeing flakes in it. He even gets you a baseball hat that's shaped like a monkey's head. He takes a selfie of you both, making monkey noises. Cute. Afterwards he takes you to pizza hut. Mum never takes you there. This is such fun. Everything's amazing again. Even mum seems more enthused by him being around. He drops you home and says he'll see you next week.

But he doesn't show... nor the week after... nor the week after that... Mum tries to hold it all together, but there's so much work to do and she could really use another pair of hands... she's losing it. Fudge sake Dad, where are you? And the resentment grows again. You love him, but he's breaking your fudgeing heart.

The last Hillsborough memorial service will be held on 15 April this year. I've been to every one of them and will be making the trip to this one as well. Will seem strange to not make the trip next year but I think the right decision has been made here.

Justice for the 96. Never forgotten.

On a lighter note, we have only to bid for a player and they go and bugger a hamstring!
