On a lighter note, we have only to bid for a player and they go and bugger a hamstring!

Amazing you've made it to each one - great commitment to the club.

I think the hamstring report was a Twitter troll that gained traction...and he'll be going to CFC anyway...

Bonkers game. The worst defending by two teams I've ever seen in a top flight league.

Moreno's penalty a testament to this, 2 poor attempts to finally give it.

Not to mention the terrible back pass for Milners goal, 2 teams trying desperately to lose.

Happy to take the 3 points though and Firmino starting to fire.

We'll that was tense. We were awful, Hendo was missing, Can couldn't pass, Benteke had hoofs...and we still made the final.

I can't ever remember Liverpool losing a penalty shootout. You guys have a pretty good record in them. Especially in Finals

We've been in 17 since (and including) the Charity Shield final vs Leeds in 1974.

We've won 14 of them

3 losses -1993/94 League Cup 4th rd vs Wimbledon

              - 2010/11 League Cup 3rd Round vs Northampton Town

              - 2014/15 Europa Round of 32 vs Besiktas

6 of the wins came in finals: Charity Shield (barely counts), European Cup, League Cup (x2), Champs League and FA Cup

I was at that one, and am still gutted it got to penalties.

Going to the game this Saturday night, in the West Ham end. Looking forward to it (although having not won at your place since 1963 at the start of the season, I cannot see us winning their twice in 4 months).

All I do is make the stuff I would've liked
Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite
Now I'm firefly like a burning kite

Wondering if you guys have found a venue in Wellington to watch the game live?

Have a few chaps could join with you, make up the numbers so to speak; justify them opening early.

The Pub or Five Stags for example?

The tiniest of silver linings is that we have a lot of youngsters with plenty of first team experience now though...

sorry I missed this mate. Due to bars being open late for the 7s they couldn't then open for us earlier.

Haven't caught yet when the replay is but check lfcwellington on Twitter or Facebook, we'll post there whether we can or can't watch game.

We've booked our regular spot at the Green Man on Victoria St for the replay. ESPN2 and they do a good breakfast.

Top 4 is well gone. Focus on the 3 cup comeptitions and give some of the young fellas Premiership experience OR put some players we want rid of in the shop windown.

I did read that we had 40 first team players in our squad. As you say Leighbo, we Really need to tidy up the squad and get things a bit more organised. All our eggs now in the league cup basket? Although four of our best players back for tomorrow's game

All eggs in all 3 cup comps I reckon - let's not forget that Europa winners get a CL spot!

Still on for a treble ;)
