That's quite a high level of trolling!

Sorry we were a bit late to this. Posts have been deleted. A ban has been issued.

Liverpool are making some absolutely terrific signings - their midfield was the obvious weakness (along with GK) and they have fixed that completely with Keita and Fabinho.

If they don't challenge for the title next season, I'd be very surprised.

Guarantee Salah won’t have the same year as he has just had but we’ve already strengthened which is so good.....helps the hurt from the final that’s for sure.

29 May 20:37
Fekir and a keeper next please!

Sounds like Allison is off to Real if you believe Cafu. The rumour mill keeps spitting out Butland, Oblak and Donnarumma. I'd prefer Donnarumma I think although would be absolutely stoked with Oblak.

We're building quite a spine and also, some great depth.

Oblak is out of everyone's reach except for the PSG/City/Madrid/Barca's of the world, I think - he will go for 60m+

We have the Coutinho money plus about 65m for the CL final appearance. He has 3 years left on his contract and is only 25 so he'd cost every cent of that - we could do it but we could get Donnarumma for 20m less, he's much younger and not overly popular at AC Milan with the fans. It may depend however on if LFC will deal with Mino Raiola his agent after the rubbish with Balotelli

Word on the street is that Donnarumma is a bit of a wally which seems to be a part of Klopp's recruitment thinking (no dicks policy).

30 May 12:53

Donnarumma seems kind of on and off at the moment; still learning - could become great, might not.

I think that's more a case of Mino Raiola being a dick, tbf.

Close to Fekir......yes please!

08 Jun 21:20

Sounds like Fekir is nearly done?

If you sign him, what's your strongest starting 11 and bench when all fit next season?

09 Jun 01:13

ESPN have just started saying that the medical hasn't gone to plan...... eek! Fingers crossed that's not the case!

09 Jun 01:27

Oh and King Kenny is now Sir Kenny!!!

09 Jun 19:08

Still hoping on Fekir despite the current bad news. What a drama

10 Jun 00:55

Word on what he's failed on? Always fascinating to hear about these situations and what they pick up. Then you get guys that buck the trend like the african (?) striker for newcastle who failed his medical at a bigger club but when on to do pretty well.

Suspect it's got nothing whatsoever to do with medical, and more to do with how Lyon want to frame it. They either want more money, or to frame it as doing everything they could to keep a player who ended up being disloyal. Or both. But either way it's all smoke and mirrors.

Looks like Duckenfield will finally be prosecuted. About bloody time.

New Salah deal:

  • 200k per week
  • Five year contract
  • No release clause

Any thoughts on our #1 starting line-up this season?

New Keeper

Robertson, Lovren, Van Dyke, Alexander-Arnold

Fabinho, Keita, Henderson

Salah, Firmino, Mane

I would love to see another CB but I reckon it's unlikely. Would also love to see another midfielder, do you reckon the Fekir deal is completely dead, or still possible?

04 Jul 02:52

I guess the Ox has been a failure then.

No way - one problem last season was quality in depth and competition for positions. Now we're getting closer to having that and in a place where we can hopefully compete across 4 competitions.

Ox was in magnificent form until his injury. Gutted he missed the CL final

I completely forgot about the Ox, the midfield is absolutely stacked when everyone is fit. After Fabinho, Keita and Henderson there is the Ox, Lallana, Milner and Wijnaldum who could all slot in without a massive drop in quality. Possibly one more if the Fekir deal is ressurected.

Yea his form was so magnificent that Klopp is literally signing an entire midfield ahead of him ;)

I'm being tongue in cheek to be fair. I just feel like nothing has changed with him. Still lots of unrealised potential, still doesn't know his best position, still injury-prone.

He might well still come good, there's clearly bags of talent in there, but his main problem has always been self-belief, so I don't think these signings will be doing him any good mentally. Feels like the first 6 months of this season will be his final opportunity to make a case for himself as a starter... if he gets the chance...

04 Jul 21:37

One thing that concerns me about our depth is that cover for Mane and Salah comes from either Firmino or central midfielders like Lallana and the Ox

I think we need a third explosive wide man to share the load

Fair play to Klopp. His defence was obviously weak then he went out and fixed it. Then his midfield was obviously weak and all indicators say he has gone out and fixed that too.

07 Jul 02:06

Strong rumours of Cillessen.....not feeling too good about that

Wouldn’t be surprised if Lallana left

Yeah, they manage to get them all the time as they have a liaison person at LFC HQ. They aren't guaranteed but are by far the best shot at getting them and at face value.

If they're anything like the Arsenal one they're incredible!

So some substance to the Shaqiri rumours? Not loving that but trust Klopp I guess.

12 Jul 09:34

Decent squad player, cheap as chips, pretty low risk option imo. In Klopp we trust.

13 Jul 22:22

Shaqiri official now. Not a blockbuster signing, but neither were Robertson or the Ox last summer, and they turned out alright. Fingers crossed this one goes the same way.
