Macca who seems to get some good info on the 'Pool rumour site seems to think it was initially Ancelotti FSG wanted but have now done a u-turn and Klopp will get the job.

Fat Sam in at Sunderland. Decent appointment for them given their situation.

I hope not. I want this to continue forever and ever and ever. Couldn't happen to a nicer club.

It would seem like such an easy way out for the prick too. When has he ever had to drag a team up like he needs to now?

Of all the sackings this season, this one is really, really poor. Looks like they've taken aim at Everton, who made overtures regarding Silva possibly switching clubs after Ronald Koeman was sacked from his post at Goodison Park.

Didn't see this coming to be honest, they were on a run of poor form recently but they're still 10th in the league. Don't know what the aspirations of the club were after finishing 17th last campaign - Could be a damaging move that may potentially suck them into a relegation scrap as only 5 points separates 10th placed Watford & 18th placed Southampton.

The numpty's on the TV had the headline scrolling along the bottom of the screen saying "Watford manager sacked after losing a record 11-1" which made me recheck Saturdays results.

Surely that Southampton boss has to go soon. They've been diabolical all season.

Three for me, and two for them.

Mexican standoff...

Conte won't quit otherwise no payout

Chelsea won't fire him, otherwise they make a payout

It certainly looks that way. Roman must be having a bad spell financially because cost has never been a barrier to him sacking a manager before.

His money isn't big money in football anymore compared to some others. I wonder if he's getting over it a bit.
