IMO Cleverley is class, it's great that Ferguson has decided to keep Welbeck and Cleverley and actually give them first team football.

I agree about Cleverley. I still don't think Welbeck is strong enough yet. Hoping we can dick those others next game.

If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid

He makes a very compelling argument.

Who needs Sneijder, Modric, Nasri now eh?

De Gea's footskills are class and distribution showed lots of finesse.

BIG worry is high balls in the 6 yard box tho. VDV didn't get Spurs corners right to test him, but every other team will be looking to ping it in there at every opportunity. SAF will know this and pick strong-in-air back 4 accordingly.

Kotahitanga. We are one.

He'll learn, mate. Give him some time.

Hahaha, maybe if we wanted to lose the title we would hire someone else.

We were robbed. Arsenal easily the better team on the day. Typical referees at Old Trafford favouring the home side. Wenger obviously not at fault for anything.

Time for bed.

Wow that was rather spectacular.

I was thinking at 1-0 how fantastic it was to watch these young guys play, there is such confidence that belies their age it is incredible. Ashley Young is 26 - and he was the second oldest starter on the pitch behind Evra. Unreal. Then of course what transpired made it obvious how good the performance was. Not a lot else to say really.

Have to say, I did enjoy the Arsenal fans singing "there's only one Edin Dzeko" right at the start of the game.

What a spanking! I thought City slapping the Spurs would be the big result this morning..Azevo2011-08-29 11:30:49

We will never fully decide who has won the football.

Absolutely brilliant. Haven't seen a game like that for a while - and there could have been even more goals at both ends.

Ashley Young will be the Premier League signing of the season. Followed closely by Jones.

In my infinite stupidity I thought the game was on at 5am. Managed to find a friend who myskyed it fortunately. I enjoyed Nani's goal even though he was quite frustrating the rest of the game. Ashley Young take a bow, the big test will be to see if he can perform on the European stage.

Great result for your young lads, though most teams won't be as helpful as Arsenal.  The 26th of November should be a cracker!

Regarding trolls: There are a lot of people who don't have enough class to respect Sir Alex for his achievements.  Just let them blur into a grey, shapeless mass and save your attention for more important things.

I am not a troll (whatever that is)  Man City will win the Premiership. Will be pushed hard by Man Utd, Chelsea and Liverpool.

Just watching highlights again. Nanis goal was ridiculous beats out Dzekos 4th for my fav of the week. 30 odd seconds earlier Man U were on their own goal line then the passing and Nanis finish. Pure Class

I was thinking the other night and I'm actually not convinced we will sign a big name midfielder (thinking of Nasri, Modric, Sneijder etc.).

The best proof I could find that I knew Wesley Sneijder wouldn't sign for Manchester United this season.

Who needs Wesley, we've got Cleverley!

We actually have to get drawn to play them, unless both teams make the final again. Then we will see what happens.
