Because it makes it even sweeter when you fall over and we don't? Obviously.
Massive chip on the shoulder. Childish really. Maybe you should check out exactly what you have not achieved. Every club has bad seasons. Think you have had a lot more in the last 20 years.
Supporting football clubs = just a big collection of chips on each fans shoulder. That player you hate because he fell over that one time? Chip. That player you hate because he moved clubs in search of a bigger paycheck? Chip. etc etc.

Perhaps hate is a prerequisite to be an Arsenal supporter?
If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid

Jeez, you're the Glenn Johnson of this thread. You hold onto things too long...
"...sure beats doin' stuff."

Ha ha. Perhaps the bogans should stick to their own thread.

Leggy, if you spent anymore time in the Liverpool thread, we'd have to condemn your house and have you force-ably evkicted to facilitate our stadium expansion.

LOL. As for Glen Johnson-- I can see that he has the talent but I said to a mate years ago that I find him very frustrating because he does not seem to have any football brains.

Completely agree. He's better when he gets the ball at pace, cuts infield and the whips a cross it. He tries to take on 2/3 defenders and then gives it away. For someone with his pace, he tracks back very slowly.
I was very impressed with Jones performance for Man Yoo, seemed like the one guy to leave nothing on the field.

So your clubs glory stems from United doing badly? How incredibly sad.
And you can't really criticise Leggy for not dropping aynthing while carrying it on
One year ago today since Moyes was appointed #NeverForget
It is 8years 11 months and 19 days today since AW won a trophy.
7 days till we win our next trophy.
I am sure you are correct, well lets hope so for all the Arsenal fans.

When we manage to get the best side on the park and get rid of the likes of Young and Cleverley it will be time to celebrate. Having watched Utd for many years I cannot recall two worse players than the two mentioned. It is possible that playing for Utd is too much pressure for them and they might play better in another side, but I doubt it.
Sunderland are a tough side to beat on their pitch but really we should have won. Apart from Jones and Valencia the rest were pretty average.
If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid
You know times are tough when the best silver lining a player could come up with is "Hey, at least nothing shat in my mouth today."
I hope they're showing this League Cup match versus MK Dons live on NZ tv...compelling viewing.

LOL. Never send boys to do a man job. That performance will more that likely put Danny W and Hernandez on the transfer list, and the rest of the young blokes probably won't get another chance.
If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid
I actually feel sorry for you lot after this one, MK Dons aren't even a real team!

More than half your team were established first team squad players.
That is embarrassing.
Sorry!! I always gets distracted driving past one of these...

Yup, about embarrassing as being beaten a couple of years ago by a League 2 side.

Chin up.I can remember being at Peterborough one night and losing 1-0.
Terrible feeling.

Don't Man Yoo fans like to remind us to not live in the past?
I guess 4-0 to MK is the past now though...

I've not mentioned it, but when does the past start?

Man U All (no) Stars (7 full internationals) 0 MK Dons no (all-stars) 4
Loved seeing the Man U board looking on from on high -

Not to mention VG hiding behind the veil as usual -

I was saying 4 months ago they were mad to gas Moyes because it was really the players that they had and not him. I guess this does kinda show that Moyes was not the real problem (as much as he was probably the wrong manager still)
Van Gaal will be wondering what he has got himself into.
Just goes to show that with Ferguson, he timed it to perfection and left the trainwreck on someone elses record.
Grumpy old bastard alert
Wow. What a ridiculous result!!
Maybe the $120 million could have been better spent on defenders (not including LB, as $65 million has already been spent there).
I have an amazing ability to find my way out of mazes. I'm pathological.

Every club that Woodward calls regarding transfers must be licking their lips.

The Mirror is reporting interest in Joe Allen (I kid you not)
Let's make it an even $100m and call it a day...hahahahahaha

The entire MK Dons squad cost £235,000 - Equivalent to less than a weeks wages for Wayne Rooney.
That would be me. However, you will note I didn't include Vemijl, Keane, Janko or James in that list. Evans played and was shit but has done well in the Champions League in the past. As I said, our defensive depth is poor. Yet we only have one centre midfielder of any quality (plus Fellaini who is quality but doesn't fit in).

Nah. Moyes was shit.
Moyes inherited a team which had won the Premier League. He strengthened that team with Fellaini and Mata and lost no players and he still came 7th. With Ferguson we would have come in the top 4 minimum with that exact same squad. Moyes could have missed out on the Champions League and remained as manager if he had shown he had the capability to turn things around.
Van Gaal has actually lost some players Ferdinand, Vidic, Evra and so far Herrera is his only signing to see game time.

The players have to take some responsibility though right? I'm sure they don't want to miss out on Champions League just to prove they are dissatisfied with Moyes, or to prove a point. He doesn't go on to the field and play like he doesn't care.
Not saying he isn't part of the issue, just that it seemed pretty obvious the players themselves had a massive issue and should cop as much, if not more blame.
My mate said this in an email this morning which made me chuckle:
Just unbelievable what confidence (or a lack thereof) can do to a team.
It’s the same as Tiger Woods to be honest – have you seen that guy lately?? He went from sporting God to this slightly overweight balding guy once he lost his confidence… United is currently a slightly overweight, balding guy.
Van Gaal at end of season -

Where does Di Maria fit into the 3-5-2?
Assuming he's not going to play wingback, and that Rooney and van Persie are the 2, does that make him midfielder?
If yes, do him and Mata take 2 spots of a 3 man midfield? Herrera the other?
Seems like there's not enough spaces for these guys in that formation to me. A 4-3-3 or a 4-4-2 would be better suited?
Also, contrary to popular belief, the 3-5-2 is not a favourite of van Gaal historically. He did it at the world cup but when else? I know it's the new fad but I'm a little perplexed that he is looking to use that when he doesn't have the midfielders or the defenders for it.
^ Spoooky!
