For a club of United's stature beating a team two leagues below you, even 7-0, is fairly un-notable.

But it was refreshing to be able to rotate a significant portion of the team, and where starters did play it was likely down to needing fitness (Ugarte) or form (Rashford) more than necessity.

Genuinely been years since we've been able to do that.

Never a red card, game absolutely ruined. VAR is absolute nonsense.

You thought United were remotely in the game at any point before then? Or a l a Arsenal after then?

Honestly the worst I’ve seen United. How does a CB run unchallenged down the whole field like that?

I guess I’m kind of a neutral, though I’m enjoying Ange and used to follow United. Certainly don’t like the two teams who’ve been contesting the title recently.

I thought this would be something of an epic battle, but United were just so honking. Hope Tottenham can f- up some of the other big names this season too.

Good news is United can’t play much worse. Bad news is no McTominay to bail them out with an unexpected equaliser or winner here and there.

Card overturned.

They can’t retrospectively give pens or replay that section of game with Bruno though. It’s still a ref and a human under who knows what sway or interests in the booth.

Maybe this’ll be United’s wake up call.  It seems like Ten Hag is completely unable to motivate the team, and worse it’s begun to affect Garnacho who had seemed immune. And that’s damaged my Fantasy Football!

I think axing is a bit of a over statement.
New coach is always going to bring in his own team and i would think Ruud knew that.
has done a great job restoring a bit of joy and belief to the players although he hardly had difficult games to deal with
Hope he gets a good job somewhere.

I don't think they'd go down but it's a good scare for the plastic fans. Great to see the loyal ones sticking around though.

Are we talking relegation maybe?

Currently 8 points clear. You wouldn’t have thought so, however…

I'd be getting Moyes back in to keep you up.

12 v 10 and Arsenal still bottled it.

Kai Havertz might be my new favourite player.

Had both my Liverpool mates message text me this morning moaning about how bad the referee was...

We might be 20 points behind them but how fudgeing dire is Arteta ball?

Unless Amorim can swallow his pride and change his system, it ain't gonna work.

We play 5 at the back, which adds absolutely no defensive resilience. The goal we conceded today we had our entire backline in the back and no one of them could pick up any of the three Leicester players.

To accomodate 5 ATB, we have to play our most dangerous players out of position (Garnacho, Amad). And when the team does create any space, it's for centre backs 40 yards out in front of goal.

We won today despite Amorim's tactics, not because of them.

3 players offside and Slabhead's extremely late goal is still allowed at Old Trafford. There's a friggen surprise.

7 defenders in the box to sit and watch Maddison get to a deflection before any of them. Nonsense!

Onana talks shark throughout the week, gets called out by Matic, and goes on to back it up with another horrific performance.

He shouldn't play again.

I realise every team is guilty of the diving and gamesmanship...

But Athletic Bilbao were something else. For example, in the entire game, I don't think there was a single aerial contest where they didn't end up with a player on the ground holding their face.

Good karma watching them lose their heads late in both games.

Did Sesko really not step up until the 10th penalty? Got to be some questions asked there for a 70 million pound centre forward letting everyone but the keeper go before him.

Onana is the worst keeper to have played in the Premier League and it isn't even close.

Poppadom hands for at least three of those penalties.

Three for me, and two for them.

And when they look around to the manager for some inspiration he's looking at the ground because he can't watch it. Is this rock bottom now?
