just watched the game, Yip flamini was man of the match by far, goal was amazing. Ade cant stop scoring LOL That goal for cesc will do him wonders, Far out we are winning 3-0 without Cesc and helb in top form and kolo and rvp out. as for the that gattuso comment will be interest in the milan game to see who is the real deal LOL. Sagna and Clichy awesome as usual. Senderos stil doesnt look like a decent centre back to me looks very shaky sometimes. Almunia was solid. Anyone one know what the goal difference between us and man u?? Lets all cheer on the old arsenal boys tomorrow aye LOL

go gunners

yep ours is 32 and theirs is 35, then a wee way back to chelsea's 20.
i just watched the game aswell and um wow!   i was thinking flamini as motm at 40 mins then he pulls of that amazing cross and then the goal which for anyone who hasnt seen it is seb larsson gainst tottenham but a bit further back and further to the left.
also i think diaby had a good game for him, good switch balls and shot a few times aswell.
come on portsmouth!

Just watched the delayed coverage of this mornings match.

Overall i thought it was a pretty polished performance from the lads. Flamini was superb worked his arse off and scored a wonder goal. Adebayor did lead the forward line very well and deserved his goal, Eduardo still looks like his coming to terms with the Premiership but hopefully he will find his feet soon enough.

Senderos was very shaky Ripthajacka i agree totally with you there, can't wait till King Kolo is back. Hleb also disappointed me a bit, just seemed to piss around with it a bit too much when he was in the opposition box.

Great to be back on top for now. Cmon Pompey tomorrow!!!!

Three for me, and two for them.

Flamini my MOM today with the whole of the defence doing a good job to keep another clean cheet. If they call him Gattuso, wait till they play each other in a few weeks time to see who bosses that midfield! Aski Vieira how he went last time he played Fabregas a few years ago.

Diaby has signed a new contract today until 2012,hopefully Flamini will sign in the coming weeks as well the signs are looking good.having both of them as well as Fabregas and Denilson is a talented central midfield group.

Hate those Mancs, come on the Arsenal Masters team tommorow!

Latest from Arsene Wenger when asked about Matthieu Flamini's contract talks:

"We have a few players who have improved, and he is one of them. His work-rate is tremendous, his composure, timing of the runs and final ball is great. That was not the case before.

"On top of that, he scored a great goal tonight."

"We are talking. I am hoping to finalise it. He wants to stay, and I want him to stay, so we will find an agreement. I am not especially concerned, because I believe what he tells me."

thats a good sign. fingers crossed he signs up. i dont see there being any problem. we dont pay large amounts for transfers but the salary payments we give out should rival anything that would cause him to want to leave..

Don't you believe it. Arsenal have a very strict salary cap which is why we don't always attract the top players. We're not prepared to pay over inflated wages. Henry was the highest paid player when he left and I think he was on over 100K quid a week. He would have been the only one earning 6 figures. Remember Ashley Cole was offered 55k a week and ended up going to Chelski on 90K.
Another reason why Arsenal is one of the richest clubs in the world. Arsene's shrewd transfer dealings and strict pay terms.
Long may it continue.

it hasnt really been mentioned but adebayors header was quite amazing aswell.

i think thierry leaving has done nothing but good. the commentators today said that Henry asked Arsne how long he thought it would be before Arsenal won the EPL and then thought whatever the answer was was be too long for him, so he went to Barca. Now we are top by 3 points and in with a very decent shout and Barcelona are 2nd by 9 and closer to 3rd than 1st.   hahaha bad call thierry...

Adebayor has been on fire with the head recently.

Just ask Bendtner.

Yeah apparently so.

For the record, I was just taking the piss. Ade plays his heart out week in, week out and the incident was purely down to passion.

if you get a chance to watch the replay, look at adebayor when bendtner comes on, it looks like he makes the 'im watching you' thing with his hands. they go to a shot of adebayor just as it happens

yeah so was i, it is good to see them get that passionate about the game, even if at the time it was maybe misguided.  Go Portsmouth!

sick sadistic b@st@rd how does he do it, stupid fake outside then cut in and shoot..everytime
Permalink Permalink
about 18 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
even though man u are up 2 0 their attack so far hasnt been all that impressive. first goal came off pompey turning it over on halfway and the free kick was just well yea. but other than that the only kind of attack that man u have had has been long balls from ferdinand or vidic. so just watch rooneys runs very closely and hope cronaldo breaks a nail or loses his hair gel and is too distressed to play and you should be right.
