And Wakes Up!!!! Bothroyd should add an interesting dimension to our attack. Far better signing than any middle aged Italian will ever be.

Injuries 0, but for how long? Keiron Dyer wont last past... oh say, October before picking up something I reckon!

If our illustrious owners can't see the error of not strengthening the team during the summer in key positions then I am lost for words to describe them. An opportunity lost.
Still, one game doesn't make a season. Just ask Blackpool!

Been a while but here's the latest. TOD, TCF & T2BS have gone. Tony Fernandes has 66% and Mittals have 33% of the club.

The botique lable is about to return to the "family" club. Ticket prices are under immediate review. Paladini - the 2 Bit spiv has been sacked. Sadly with a generous 2 year sweetener which if the prick had any scruples he would have give straight back to the club to help pay the 850k fine HIS incompetance cost us. Neil is safe and has been given fund to buy some real players not bargain basement freebies.

Amit Bhatia is vice chairman.

Leon Clarkes contract has been terminated with immediate effect and a few others too to be done very shortly. Pellicori, Alberti, Rowlands, Cook, Vine and Borrowdale. Hopefully Hulse as well.

We are going after scott parker at this stage, there will be others on the radar too.

Am I missing something - why so much vile against a regime that brought back premier league football to a club that hasnt been there in 15 yearsand went a far down as League 1...
22 Aug 09:29 · edited 09 Sep 05:03
You are missing a lot actually. Briatore thought he was buying into a resturant, thats how much he knows about football. Ecclestone is a self confessed Chelsea fan. Basically they bought into the club to promote themselves and it is only through the genius of neil Warnock and his ability to get the best out of average players that we got promoted.

Briatore and Ecclestone rewarded Warnock with a BIG transfer kitty of 1.25 Million pounds. despite the club earning millions from the promotion.

If you only knew what was going on behind the scenes. Paladini in any war would have been shot for his part by his own side.

As posted on another forum - can't stand Barton. Nasty Pr*ck. It will end in tears. I will be delighted to be proved wrong.
On the other hand if Neil thinks that he is what the team needs then who am I to say otherwise. With all that he has achieved so far I defer to his greater wisdom. I expect Neil is relishing another opportunity for some more individual man management.

Great signing, he'll be under control of the Messiah (N.W)so no worries there. Will make an excellent replacement for Derry. luke Young Signed, enquires about Dann (Birmingham) and Hooper (Celtic), Looks promising regarding Sean Wright-Phillips. Three days and we'll know if we're gonna be staying up.

I think he will do well for you.  Everyone remembers Barton the c*ck from his earlier troubles.  No one gives him credit (or NUFC) for turning his life around and allowing him to mature on and off field.

However how can you have the Messiah when he is an anagram for something sniggeringly schoolboyishly funny?

Barton will do well for you.  He's intelligent, committed, and skilled.  His discipline record over the last couple of years is fine - actually, it's rather good if you remove the bookings he got for being Joey Barton.  In terms of performance, he is a bit of a "big match" player, and will turn on the class against better teams (look at Newcastle's results last year and you'll see what I mean).

I guess you guys are less than happy that he has moved on then? As a QPR fan first with a soft spot for Newcastle second I would love it if the Magpies could undergo a similar transformation.

A remarkable two weeks. From the depths of despair to abounding hope. We are in with a fighting chance now. Excellent transfer business - we haven't gone mad splashing the cash but have strengthened the areas that needed it (fullbacks, central defence, pacy wide player). Luke Young and Shaun Wright-Phillips are the picks of the bunch for me.

Barton, SWP, Young, Perone, Pancheon, Murphy (GK), Gabbiadon, Ferdinand (Anton), Traore, Bothroyd, Campbell (DJ). All good incoming players. Our season starts now.

Vine to Exeter thank f**k, Ageymang not in the 25, nor Hulse. The week is getting better. 06:50am Tuesday Live on Sky Sports 2 Us V Newcastle. Should be an interesting game. Not like the 5-5 in the mid 80's.

Enjoyed that first half vs Wolves even with a very stop/ start live feed. Surely Wolves can't play that badly for a second 45 minutes. We are knocking the ball around well. I have been impressed with Taarabt in the last 3 matches.

Great results. Should've beaten the Toon and should have scored more against Wolves. very happy with the way they are playing. Up next is Aston Villa at Loftus Road. One day the lads are really gonna click and someone is going to get a thrashing.

I must admit I do laugh when I think of Barton winding up players on the pitch, "telling everyone he is on 80-grand a week as usual. That is him. He always does that during the game. Always. He riles a few people up when he says those things and tells everybody how great he is." - Karl Henry

Great to see this thread still going Andy!

COME ON YOU RRRRRRRRRs!

Lets hope the Phoenix's fortunes changed with change of ownership, as QPRs has (so far).
Thank you Seripesos for what he's done for football in NZ!

PS - Those interested in knowing more about what went on behind the scenes with QPRs previous owners, there will be a doco covering this era, called The Four Year Plan, which is releasing soon:
