Oooh. Big night for Edinburgh, Hearts beat Celtic 2 - 0 and Hibs winning 3 - 0 against Rangers!

Another great win for the mighty Jambos at Fester Rd. If only we could get some wins against good teams like Killie and we'd be closing in on leaders Motherwell.

Good teams? Teams that win three consecutive games 3-0 in the SPL are heavyweights and must now be favourites for an overdue return to Europe?

Ya f****n dancer!

That is the best news I have heard in a long time. Get it right up the in-firm. This should send out a clear message to the rest of the league that there is no need to fear the Glasgow muppets, as they are utter mince.

If only a team like Killie/Hibs/Hearts/Aberdeen/Dundee Utd/Motherwell/Inverness/Partick Thistle/Dundee could attract a Lithuanian millionaire to invest in the club, and mount a serious title challenge?

I think Dundee's millionaire proved to be a bit of a disaster!

Wouldn't mind Thistle finding one though...

I was at Ibrox for the Hibs 3-0 over the Gers, brilliant stuff. Esp the Hibs fans singing "We are the people" to the disgruntled Bears after the 3rd went in!

I have been lucky enough to witness the mighty Ayrshire Killie hump the teddy bears 3-0 at Castle Greyskull. Probably my second top game of footy.

Number one was watching Scotland gub England 1-0 at the last ever game at the old Wembley in Nov '99.

By the way, that was a real shame that Celtic let in a last minute equaliser against the Arabs this morning.

Celtic were lucky to snatch a late equaliser against Ayrshire's finest this morning. I thought we were going to register a win at Parkhead for once.

Kenny Dalglish's appointment brings the total of EPL scottish managers to 6, surpassing england for managerial representation in it's own league!

about 15 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
I was just discussing the amount of Scottish managers plying their trade in England, not just the EPL, the other day with somebody.

In the good old days, we used to have a high representation of players at the top level in England, seems that it's managers these days.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

You should get Coyle managing the national team. He would bring back the glory days.

Three for me, and two for them.

Still need the players to manage, Buff. We don't have enough decent players any more, that's the biggest problem.

Having said that. I reckon Coyle will get a shot at the National team gig one day

The one small problem there is that Aiden McGeady is a Republic Of Ireland international!! (As, funnily enough, was Owen Coyle!)

Use to run around in ROI shirt when he was 5.. Big shame he didn't choose Scotland.

Only played about 1 or 2 games for ROI, I think. Born and bred in Scotland but I think the 'granny' rule came into play and, as he wasn't going to get picked for Scotland, he took it.

(Just as an aside, he isn't very popular with Partick Thistle supporters! That's a story for anither time)

I need a pint - as something to cry into.

Whitaloadaysh*te doesn't do Hibs justice at the mo.

I've been back in NZ over 2 months, and still, I was present at the last game Hibs won (how the hell we beat Rangers 3-0 at Ibrox, I don't know - and wouldn't be surprised if the Gers got their revenge and some more next week)

Good luck to the Jambos this morning. If they sneak a win against Shellic they will leapfrog the currant buns into second place, and will only be four points off the top with a game in hand.

Great result for Hearts against the Gers at the weekend. Here is their winning goal.

Maybe that should be "What an absolute disgrace this Hearts supporter is"? So the whole of Scottish football cops it because of one f**kwit? I don't recall many people posting how much of a disgrace English football was after a player was assaulted by a fan on the pitch after an FA Cup game this season.

No matter what you think of Lennon, he's had to deal with more sh*t than anybody should have to. Death threats, bullets sent to him, parcel bombs and now this. He is the manager of a football team, not Colonel Gaddafi, ffs. Will anybody be surprised if he walks away from Celtic when the season finishes.

Sad.

Lennon's appointment really has brought out the very worst in both Celtic and Rangers fans.

For a decade Neil Lennon has been a magnet for abuse, threats and violence.

A Roman Catholic from Lurgan in County Armagh, he stopped playing international football for Northern Ireland in 2002 after a death threat, said to be from loyalist paramilitaries.

Two men were sent to prison after assaulting Lennon in the street in the West End of Glasgow in 2008.

And in January this year bullets addressed to the Celtic manager were intercepted at a postal sorting office.

But the most serious threat was still to come.

A total of three parcel bombs addressed to Neil Lennon have now been intercepted in the west of Scotland.

The bomber has still not been arrested and Lennon and his family are living amid tight security which includes a panic button in their house.

"I've had this for 10 years", he said recently, "but I don't want to say you get used to it, because you never do."
