We dominated them in truth. Krul was their best player. We just found it tough to get the breakthrough. I never felt we were in danger of losing that match.

Great weekend results wise for us too.

Three for me, and two for them.

Tasty 3 points off the prison stripes lot.

So that's now 84 shots for two own goals + one from our own boots. Do we need a striker...? Preferably one that moves about a bit and makes an opposing back four move this way and that.

Speaking of moving to make something happen check out our young Chris Wood:

How old is Leggy?  Is he 12 or 72?

Are we switching to 442 with him and Benzema upfront?

we played pretty average but got the 3 points :) excellent results all around LOL. Bit concerned at the pace we are playing at the moment, lots of passing but not enough movement either.

Hopefully Alexis has time off for the international break

How good is nacho these days, his attack seems to have got better aswell.

Was in Manchester this weekend for the game. Turns out it is pride weekend, so was sorrounded by a lot of people on the piss & not watching the football wearing some...proud...clothing. Fascinating to be in amongst! Heading to see FC United play tomorrow, if you haven't heard of them YouTube them, they're a fan funded club spun off from the Glazer take over. They've just been promoted & launched a 5,000 seater stadium, bloody fantastic stuff.

Yea Nacho looks bloody good, and very consistent now. Definitely one of the best LBs in the league - and we got him at a snip too. Gibbs must be gutted.

Also really like Gabriel - looks really commanding. Really good anticipater when they start to attack, he broke up a lot of counter attacks around the halfway mark.

He's actually quite tall too which is important for us, our team is so short overall.

Also worth praising Coquelin again after the weekend - that guy gets so many interceptions and makes so many successful tackles, he really is quite phenomenal. Form definitely hasn't dropped off at all from last season.

Yeah he's pretty good at what he does, that's for sure. In saying that, I wouldn't mind some games where we don't have to be so forceful in the midfield to play Ramsey and Cazorla together, basically just so that right wing can be taken by a winger, and maybe help speed up and widen our attacks.

I get that Ramsey on the wing allows for a more balanced midfield but sometimes I just want to see pace down both sides of the field.

Gibbs and Debuchy must both be gutted!

Speaking of ramsey, he's workrate is nuts. Will be interesting to see how debuchy goes once he gets a chance

The european window closes midnight (Germany 6pm) on the 31st and the premier league closes 6pm on the 1st.

Unless there is a player of interest for us within the PL there is bugger all time left to grab someone from europe...

Probably the old English player syndrome. If he was called Carlos Agustin he would have clubs lining up for him.

Three for me, and two for them.

Plus inflated fees for English players.

We already have Welbeck. If we buy a striker it must be an obvious upgrade. There's only a very small group available that would tick that box.

Sounds like time is running out for any of those.

Wenger spotted on plane to Paris, rumours going nuts over Cavani.

And Pato apparently started following Arsenal on twitter last night so that's set off a bunch of rumours there too.

Rabiot (sp?) is back in the menu as well. Daily mail( the wholly trusted source of news) are reporting that psg have accepted 43mil now + 2mil later for cavani.

It doesn't matter that the European leagues close 24 hours earlier, as long as the buying club can purchase then you can buy from anywhere.

We have scored 3 goals this season, 2 of which are own goals. Trying to hold back my frustrations until tomorrow, but I'm on the fence if we will sign anyone even with 200 million in the bank.

Who else is there that would honestly improve our squad?

Have you seen us play any of the 4 games we have played this year? If we can't find anyone that will improve our squad then what do we change when we are consistently pursuing 4th place, the manager? Admittedly I was more positive before the season but having watched us this season I'm not sure we have improved at all. If we can't find anyone that would improve our squad, there are a few short-comings, then again we can settle for a top 4 position and losing out in the Round of 16 in Europe. Unless we change those making the decisions.

Mandzukic, Bacca, Martinez, Suarez, Morata, Higuain, Aubameyang. Plus the players you have listed, they are realistic. Our "centre forwards" of Giroud and Walcott are probably 5th best in the league. If we were back at Highbury I wouldn't throw my arms up but things have changed now.

Hopefully we make a big signing or 2 tonight, we undoubtedly need it.
