OK I've just seen the goals...

First goal - Gabi was slow in pulling Lewandowski off side, and by slow I mean a fraction of a second sooner and the goal wouldn't have stood.

Second goal - Muller tucked it away near post on an acute angle after a messy header back from his team mate. Per could have tried to make himself better but that finish was as much luck as it was skill.

Third goal - Great finish from Alaba but Gabi should have put more pressure on, and Santi finally got his pocket picked trying to turn out of trouble in his defensive third.

Fourth goal - Great finish from Robben & cross from Alaba - entire defense was half a step behind there.

Girouds goal - Giroud & Sanchez showed how simple scoring should be, good cross, good control, good finish

Cazorla's miss - It was a replica opportunity of Bayern's 4th but Santi's become so good with his left it's almost like his right is chocolate.

Bayern's 5th - the fact that Gabi couldn't even offer any pressure on Mueller showed how much we'd given up by this point.

Footballs a funny thing, two goals that could just as easily not happened and it could have been a different night. But it wasn't, and now we've got a lot of sh*t to push up hill.

Thought these were all accurate:

Wouldn't be an Arsenal season without a beating like this. Wonder how different things could have been if Ozil's goal had been allowed. Probably not much but you never know. Worst thing about the Olympiakos result is not so much that we probably won't go through, it's that we'll probably end up having to play the Europa.

Europa League is worst case scenario for me; though I guess we can just play a whole bunch of kids in that.

So bellerin is out of the NLD, do we know what wrong with him? I hope it's not major.

Like Wilshere before him, probably burnt out by being overplayed so young.

Groin injury.

'Small' groin injury which will  keep him out for 6 months.

You know i'm right.

Huge, huge loss. Debuchy has nothing on Bellerin.

It will be one of those "3 week" injuries. I guess on the plus side it means Spain won't be calling him for this international window.

Joachim Low in international manager being sensible shocker. Ozil is being rested for the friendlies due to no winter break in England. Great news for us.

Anyone else more nervous about this game now, than 10 days ago?

No more nervous than any other NLD. Still think we'll beat them but not comfortably.

Three for me, and two for them.

Okish to get a draw out of that one. Good to see villa held city.

First half was among the worst I've ever seen us play. Definitely felt like a point gained rather than two points lost. Especially given City's troubles.

Probably had enough chances in the second half to have won but at least we got the point in the end. What a substitution Gibbs turned out to be. Aside from the goalkeepers, pretty much the most unlikely goal scorer in the squad.

Seeing Liverpool lose and City draw made me feel a bit better about things.

Not sure why Cazorla started when he was quite obviously sick. Cost us.

Am concerned about our squad. We looked half dead. Sanchez needs a break, badly, and is going to go off and play 180 mins for Chile..

We also need players back asap. Theo out was a big blow. Spoke to our current lack of depth when we brought on Gibbs and Arteta on to get the winner. (though Gibbs did suprisingly well)

Giroud isn't helping his cause when he fluffed two headers. It's now he needs to be stepping up. Thought Campbell looked OK again. Not first team but justifying position on the bench/cover for The Ox & Ramsey on the wing.

Campbell was solid. I still don't think he's First 11 quality; but good squad depth.

Giroud missed way too many chances - all those perfect crosses from Ozil, he needed to bury at least one.

Campbell did battle hard. He's not world class but has done as well as could be expected for a 5th/6th choice winger.

Hot damn the international window is boring. It's a period of time nervously awaiting the return of your players to understand the damage!

Anyone heard of karim bellarabi or benedik howedes? I've seen a few reports we are buying them in Jan. Oh wait, it's just the international window where sweet F A happens

World Cup Winner Benedikt Howedes? Nah not familiar with him.

Three for me, and two for them.

He has been impressive over the last few years even pushed Mertersacker out of the lineup but that's not saying much if you're not a BFG fan.

The thing that struck me about Howedes is I saw him play LB a few times and he was really good and getting up and down so was more than just a lump CB.

One BFG for another? Given the level of injuries to the squad surely the boss has to see the need for cover. We've done well with defence but midfield & offence have been poked. Reus & De Rossi would be perfect.
