(The not-so-temporary quite-official) Gooner Thread (Part 2)
Wenger being quoted as being prepared to spend as 'we're a little bit short' etc.
Hopefully this translates into action, although you do have to have some sympathy for him as mid-season is always a nightmare to buy in.
Excited for tomorrow morning, odd's are in our favour according to the bookies. Hopefully we don't start Sanchez but he's on the bench...

I dont believe any tranfers stuff for gunners untill its offical......been let down too many times. I do remember following the Ozil signing on twitter thou that was epic
go gunners
Would take anything Wenger says with a grain of salt tbh. He'll always say the right things before the window. Then when it comes to near the end and we haven't signed anyone it will be more like. "We have Flamini, Chambers, Gabriel can play there. Show me someone who can improve what I have. Noone was available"

LOL pretty spot on mate.....+ Wilshere/Welbeck will be like a new signings too

That is massive. Massive.
Two brilliant finishes for our first half goals. Seemed to be cruising till Yaya scored then we all went in to a collective panic. Great to see us close out a game like that though.
Four points clear of City. Good times.
Three for me, and two for them.
Thank Christ! Wouldn't have been Arsenal if we hadn't of made hard work of it.
Campbell really coming along. Ozil delivering like a demon. Giroud banging them in.
Perfect position to be in atm I reckon.
2nd place means we don't have the pressure of leading , got a bit of a buffer between us and 3rd , success of Leicester City taking the light off us a bit and have some quality coming back and the transfer window nearly open.
Campbell and Ramsey really should've put it away with the chances they had but never mind. Pretty fantastic that we're winning a game like that without Sanchez, Coquelin, Cazorla, Wilshere, Welbeck, Arteta and Rosicky available.
Table looks pretty blimmin good. Leicester will surely fade.
Just watched yayas goal again. Wow. Something henry-esk about it
Anyway. First half was ours and we could of had 4 in the 2nd if Campbell and rambo had finished their chances. wallys running was as strong as always, ozil was the puppet master as always. Solid at the back for most of it. We did panic in the last 20 or so which was a worry. And it didn't help that when we were playing out from the back we would go for the low percentage passes.
I thought Flamini held his own today and organised rambo well next to him. Good to see him playing well.
We have Southampton (a) Bournemouth (h) Newcastle (h), City have Sunderland (h) Leicester (a) Watford (a) over the Xmas/New Year period. I think there's a chance to extend the gap in that period. City also have two extra games to worry about in Jan with the League Cup semis against Everton, which probably won't be a stroll for them.
It could all come down to keeping players fit and fresh though. Let's hope we don't have to go through any FA Cup replays.
Three for me, and two for them.
Putting away top teams these days is hugely satisfying.
Question - we win the league / we don't win the league, what should Wenger do at the end of the season? Retire? Keep going?
I'm all for keep going......with the managers on the merry go around at moment i dont know who we would get.

I can definitely get on board with this.
