Even after Koscielny didn't even try and milk the slap to the face which could have got Costa sent off. Costa, you're a c*nt

Costa really is a massive knob. I realise it the modern game, but it's shark how players try to get the opposition sent off with these sort of stunts.

Have to say that Gabriel was a bit foolish to get sucked in like that though.

It's pretty embarrassing (for the refs and the league) Costa can manage this regularly.

Like a 5 year old out smarting his parents.

And you just know Mou gives him a pat on the back inside the dressing room.

Yeah, Kos did well not to react there.

Costa is a dirty fudgeer. It's about all there is to his game at the moment though. I was thinking earlier in the half he is looking laboured out there.

Costa started with a dive & then asked for Coq to go in the book, he's just the worst!

Coq was really good that first half. Played some nice forward balls.

Gabriel was a fudgeing idiot for getting drawn into Costa's game; especially after Giroud's midweek antics. Real dumb.

Just a typical Arsenal v Chelsea game; Chelsea dominate, we get a few chances; then we completely gift them the game. Same old same old. Don't know why we bother watching these games.

Why not take Ozil off instead of Coquelin btw? We were 0-0, why take off our DM for Chambers? Ozil wont do anything for the rest of the game and if he doesnt cost a goal by not defending lll be shocked

Typical Wenger naivety Still going for the win away to Chelsea with 10 men.

because, like usual, Ozil has actually made stuff. A complete lack of competence from everyone has meant you haven't scored. =)

Erm, please show me what Ozil has created? He isn't suited to a backs against the wall 10 man game.

Youre in a glass house at the moment with your rabble btw, so I would simmer down.

Shark game.

Thought we could've nicked something if we had 11 men and been in for a decent game of football too.
Costa is an absolute shark bag, fudgewit codface. Gabriel is a knob for being sucked into his shark. Dumb move by santi. Awful officiating and to top it all off reports are Coqs done himself a mischief.

Football sucks!

Midweek against Spuds becomes interesting. I imagine we'll see rotation again but the club does need a result after back to back defeats. With Gabby gone for awhile I imagine Chambers will come in mid-week and Mertesacker will be back for Prem. With Santi out for a one match ban it will be interesting to see if Ramsey will come central and the Ox go wide, or if Arteta will come in and Ramsey stay wide. Given Coquellin's injury it could go either way.

Hard to laugh at Mourinho and Chelsea until after we play them. You just know we'll kick start their season however.

After all the stay positive rubbish, this has given them a massive boost and we're still the poor (not in monetary terms) that could hold their own against the big boys.

Coq hurting his knee and seeing Arteta warm up (before the Gabriel sending off) is laughable, he wouldn't be able to keep pace with any of those Chelsea attackers.

Comes back to you can bet your house, family etc we will not win the Prem with this squad, everyone knows it needed another Coq to slot in when he's injured/suspended as well as someone that can actually score regularly.

Rant over!

This from F365 is spot on from a tactics perspective:

While Sanchez is being not quite the full Sanchez on one flank, Aaron Ramsey really is floundering on the other side. Quite why Wenger did not put Walcott or Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain on the wing and test Cesar Azpilicueta is a mystery. Or it would be a mystery if it wasn’t entirely predictable that while Mourinho ‘tried to read the opponent’, Wenger simply played the same team that had beaten Stoke. Bizarrely, the players and tactics good enough to beat Stoke at home were not good enough to make an impression on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Talking about anything other than the red card that changed the game will inevitably lead to cries of ‘Diego Costa is a c***. Full stop’ but there were enough clues in the opening 40-odd minutes that Arsenal were going to struggle to score against Chelsea. They were way too narrow and walked into Chelsea’s plan of trying to make them operate in a packed midfield.

Things also feel really weird with the team at the moment. The back 4 + goalie are all relatively stable. But Santi getting sent off, Giroud missing from 8 yards/tap ins, Walcott not having the pace to get past CB's, Sanchez not scoring in 30+ attempts feels like we're on the verge of the team exploding. Like a bloke who hasn't shagged his mrs in a month, somethings gotta give.

Stupid from Gabriel to get involved but what a cod Costa is. Total scum club and hope they don't win the league. We were never getting anything from the game anyway, it was pretty much a stroll in the park for them before the red card but that made it impossible. Ridiculous Costa is allowed to get away with that sort of thing every week but I guess never has a player fit into everything a club stands for more.

It would have been interesting to see the roles reversed. Chelsea down to 10 as Costa is sent off for the arms/chest bump on Kosc.

I'd also like to see us mix things up a bit, give Sanchez & Cazorla a break & bring Ramsey central, Giroud on, and the Ox & Walcott out wide.

If Chelsea went down to 10 we probably still would've found a way to lose.

I'm sick of the whinging from Wenger and I'm concerned that the players are beginning to buy into it.

I really want him to lift his game and drag the team with him. If he's no longer capable of doing that then as much as it saddens me it's time for us to move on... and no, I'm not an AW hater - far from it, I'm simply getting tired of watching and hearing the same movie, which also, not coincidentally, has the same ending.

4th place is no longer good enough.

Hand the captaincy to Cech:

1. He ain't going to leave

2. He's guaranteed in the XI

3. He leads by example and directs players

Very  unusual to make keepers captains. I'm not in favour.

Per Mertesacker  would be my choice.

If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid
