Can anyone tell me a simple way to take a gif from twitter, and post in a YF thread?

I've been googling and trying things but not having much luck

Didn't watch but heard that about Morata too

Also heard that Lukaku was absolute pants this morn

Giroud >> Morata and Lukaku now, right guys?

I think this tournamanet is showing that there is currently a dearth of top level strikers.

Whilst I love seeing our guys doing well for their countries it doesn't bother me that much... I just want them doing well when it really matters.

And that's when there's a cannon on their chest.

Some types of players benefit greatly from good international showings. Giroud strikes me as one. If France were to win with him scoring goals it would do his confidence with us no end of good.

Would also be happy if Wilshere in particular got some time and played well.

That one is actually a video. If you use Firefox then you can use an add-on like Video DownloadHelper to download it or in other cases link to it.

In this case it was slightly more difficult as Twitter streams the video and doesn't really make it easy to embed that stream in other websites.

Sorry bout that. Might be other ways to work around it but would need more time and thinking.

Gonna have to get hold of a copy with NZ times and work out what ones we should try and get a few of us together for... early and late games are the best bet no doubt!

December - Feb (usual time the wheels fall off) looks relatively manageable...

March onwards get's a bit tougher but normally we're peaking by then.

Have we signed a new striker yet?

Also; high praise for Xhaka in F365:

They have found their new star in Xhaka, named man of the match for the first two games. Arsenal’s new signing is his country’s new leading light, and he is relishing said mantle. He dominated the midfield in Paris, making 108 passes – at least 38 more than any other player, and three times more than Romania’s highest passer, goalkeeper Ciprian Tatarusanu. No player created more chances (three).

With your use of the exclamation point, I'm not 100% sure you're being sincere.

2.3 goals per game is less than the league average, in EPL era never been below 2.45.

Fascinating.

My recent memories are of high scoring end to end accounts!

cup ties?

In last 10 years...(aware I may have called Highbury, Emirates here somewhere)

2013/14    Arsenal 2 - 1 (Emirates, FA Cup)

2009/10    Arsenal 2 - 1 (Emirates, League Cup)

2007/08    Liverpool 4 - 2 (Anfield, Champs League)

2007/08    Draw 1 - 1 (Emirates, Champs League)

2006/07    Arsenal 6 - 3 (Anfield, League Cup)

2006/07    Arsenal 3 - 1 (Anfield, FA Cup)

A few thumpings at Anfield there - to save some face we did win 4 -1 at Anfield in the Prem later that season but that ended a 4 match losing streak to you guys with an aggregate of 14 goals to 5.

In general, in all competitions, up until about 1981/82 both teams were relatively even in regards to results - then between 81/82 and 88/89 Liverpool were hugely dominant with 16 games played (Liverpool won 11, 2 draws and 3 losses). Then fortunes reversed end of 1989. 88/89 to 93/94 with 11 games played (Arsenal won 6, drew 2, lost 3) and then swung back again with the next 14 results between end of 94/95 season and end of 00/01 season going Liverpool's way (10 wins, 3 draws, 1 loss). Since then, dominance has mostly sat with Arsenal who have only lost 6 games to Liverpool, winning 16 and drawing 14.

We'll actually, yeah.

We're still the best club in the world but then, shouldn't every fan have that belief?

Back to possible signings, I'd throw the whole transfer budget at West Ham for Payet tbh. What a player. Class above anyone else in the Euros so far.

yea he is having a great tournament, but I still wouldn't have him. i dont know why though, i just feel he wouldn't be a good fit for us...

I have an amazing ability to find my way out of mazes. I'm pathological.

Yea same - mostly just because he plays either in the hole or on the left, where we have Ozil and Sanchez.

Personally I hope these sorts of guys stay at places like Westham - it's bringing the league up in general.

The EPL is probably the most competitive amongst the big leagues in europe now, and that wasn't the case a few years back.

That's also why I feel the Vardy outcome is a bit of a win win - if we get him, yay we get a decent striker, if we don't, I'd be pretty happy for Leicester and their fans, bloody good sign for the league if they can keep a player like that, and continue growing their club.

Why would we want Payet when we already have Ozil and Sanchez, both better players?

Not to mention Payet is 29 already..not much upswing there.

I hope we don't get Vardy; I still think he's overrated and would not fit us at all.

Btw holy crap - Chile 7 Mexico 0?! No send offs either. What happened to Mexico?
