Perhaps this is the reason Lukaku rumours have blown up overnight?

You'd think buying from other English clubs will be the best way to go with the pound in its current state.

An italian journalist has claimed we've agreed personal terms and will now submit an offer.

Not sure a striker of his style is that useful for us given we have Giroud. On fence.

Yeah, sceptical myself

Possibly play both in a 4-1-3-2

Which given our great midfield stocks seems almost counter-productive.

If we bought Lukaku AND kept Giroud, then we'd be committing to the big man striker, basically always playing with one. If that were the case then we surely wouldn't play wilshere or ramsey out on the right anymore, just not enough pace in the forwards with only Sanchez offering it.

Rumours of james rodriguez to ManU for 50m*

Same Agent as Mourinho

Odds stacked given the above, but surely if he was available for that wenger would go for him if it was in any way possible, seems like his kind of player.

Imagine that as an upgrade on Walcott.

Rodriguez and Sanchez either side of Ozil would be unbelievable, and surely we could still afford the striker and CB we want if we made the necessary sales to allow for these players. Walcott would get a decent fee to start with.

*reported tonight but not entirely sure if espnfc took any brexit madness into account

"Arsenal have agreed personal terms with Everton striker Romelu Lukaku, according to Italian journalist Emanuele Giulianelli."

Arf, sorry lads, forgot to paste link!

I actually meant this one;

The writer has his own view on the brexit vote, but putting his opinion to one side, he has some really good info in there.

Rumours about Wenger back in for Lacazette - apparently they've already turned down $45m from West Ham for him.

If we're paying that much surely we'd have to have a go for Bangarang.

2nd consecutive Copa America for Alexis Sanchez. He was subbed off during ET so didn't take a peno.

He did however win the Golden Ball for player of the tournament.

- a brazilian kid called Gabriel Barbosa aka "Gabigol", who i would sign on nickname alone!

- £32m for Inter's Mauro Icardi

I like Icardi and think he's a better buy than Morata but is he the Giroud upgrade I keep hearing we have to get?

Interesting news... Kwame Ampadu has been promoted to head coach of the U18s, Thierry Henry the joint assistant, along with... Tony Adams!

Surprised he has been bought back into the fold.

I do seriously wonder if these two could be being groomed now.

Please no. To finally be free of him, only to have him take over my national team! The media and public would never let him be appointed anyway, wasn't the death of the national team all his fault?

While I don't echo your 'finally be free of him' sentiment I do agree he'd be a terrible appointment.

England desperately need a Jose type manager - come in, win things, get fired for being a c*nt and banging a players wife.

I'm sure they'll just appoint Allardyce or someone but should do whatever it takes to get Hiddink. He's got a great record at major tournaments with some pretty ordinary teams. He just seems to know how to do well at these things. Thought we should have gone for him after Sven.

oh Jose in charge of england? I am the biggest fan of this... well Im actually a fan of the fallout that will follow him around.

Cant see Wenger going for it or see why he would. it has to be one of the worst jobs in football.

Maybe they should look at getting a coach from one of the home countries that is still left in the Euro's. Wales or Poland

Icardi has 47 serie A goals in 88 apps.

Only 23 years old.

Haven't seen him play but 32m sounds cheap for those stats, in this striker market.

Last season at Inter started well but he fell off a bit. Inter were a bit fudgeing boring (but I would say that being a Rossenero). He's alright but don't think he's going to push Giroud for you. Maybe an okay back up though.

You would have to think a player with those kind of stats in a very defensively oriented league, would probably do pretty good in the EPL
