Morena. What Ive found from a quick search this morning.

- we are linked to Japanese forward Takuma Asano this morning, (which must be news for everyone involved)

- also to Lacazette... again.

- noise about some west ham kid, Bryam, getting louder too

- us and manure battling it out for Draxler (could have been copied and pasted from any window over the past 2 seasons)

- Also we aren't in on this one, but we are by default. Higuain(sp) has rejected his latest deal at Napoli and is looking for a move

last one from left field, David Alba for 40mil. id have him.

I have an amazing ability to find my way out of mazes. I'm pathological.

Me?

Icardi was good mates with Maxi Lopez

Lopez split among acrimony with his wife

It would appear Icardi was well involved and is now married to the former Mrs Lopez

Wow. Quite the drama that is!

Alaba, didn't think much of him at the Euros at all. Heard that he looks better at fullback than midfield?

Lopez broke up with his wife, his ex-wife and Icardi started seeing each other after the split. Nothing I've read has said they split because of Icardi.

I haven't and don't follow any of the transfer news as so much of it is rubbish and I still see the chances of us signing anyone from here limited. I still think we need a centre-forward, right-winger and centreback. As well as some kind of size/power in midfield.

Great news seeing Mr Arsenal back involved with the club, based on his coaching record so far though he has a long way to go.

Wenger to manage England, how much can I put in for the deal? Good to see Sanchez have a great Copa, here's hoping he gets a bit of a break and hits the ground running for us.

The thing I like about Alaba is how versatile he is. And having him in anywhere doesn't reduce the quality of the side. Also he would be a step up on our current LBs.

Icardi also had Lopez's kid's names tattooed on his body and continues to taunt him over it. Apparently he's been frozen out of the national team because of it too

Posted about this awhile back, it was the reason he missed out on Copa America.

Seems talented but massive issues in personal life, is he up for it? Seems a gamble.

We do need some c*unt in our squad - but hopefully that's Xhaka's level, not sure we need to reach for Icardi.

But jeezusfeckinchristmas we need another striker.

That was a great read brumbys

I agree with Stillman - I would go supersize on a wide forward if we can't get a striker. But it wouldn't be to replace Welbeck, it would be to replace Walcott for me. Welbeck offers more in his all-round game, works harder, and is younger.

Someone to play on the right, with Welbeck up top, and Sanchez on the left, with Giroud our plan B, would be good for me.

Welbeck perhaps not the level we want as our starting striker, but the market is just too tough. We would never go for a one year money splash like N-Heath with Falcao and now Zlatan.

My preference for that wide player would be to get James Rodriguez off Madrid... pay him the big buckaroos...

James seems to be a completely different player when playing for national team vs Madrid

Welbeck is a write-off for next season so can't be considered in any sort of plan A.

Yeah that's my thinking; and you're also right AJC we can't expect anything off Welbeck next season.

James would be good, but I think Draxler or Reus would be great fits for us too.

Still need someone else to come in, kind of like a Martial or Batshuyai who provides an under study to Giroud because Walcott shouldn't be that guy.

Yea fair call re: Welbeck

I guess I was thinking in an ideal world when all fit, but that will never be the case, and fitness is a long way away for Danny.

Draxler or Reus would be absolutely fine by me too.

Wenger has spoken of Draxler being like a striker too.

If we have these "nearly" striker guys - Sanchez, Walcott, potentially one more, surely Wenger can make one of them work up top if we can't get the striker we need?

On another subject, what of Joel Campbell?

Hmm, a fluid front 3 of wing/strikers rotating positions, seems like we tried this once, how did that work out.... Pires, Henry, Ljungberg.. did alright for goals as I recall.

Interesting news... Kwame Ampadu has been promoted to head coach of the U18s, Thierry Henry the joint assistant, along with... Tony Adams!

Surprised he has been bought back into the fold.

I do seriously wonder if these two could be being groomed now.

Also thinking of Freddie, he is the U15 coach. That's quite a few double winners (both era's)associated with the current regime

Striker signed!

https://www.arsenal.com/news/news-archive/20160702/...

Welcome. Guess that's it for the summer window then. Bar has been set pretty low with previous Asian signings under Wenger (Inamoto, MIyachi, Park) so we must be due one working out.

Rumours of going straight out on loan, probably a gamble signing that will sell a few shirts in Japan...
