Just incase you thought this summer was bad...

Id imagine that if chile miss out on WC qualification, then he would have very little drive in him for this season.
But he they get it, then he will be refocused on performing to ensure hes there and firing.... so saying that, shark i hope they get to the WC! otherwise we are stuffed this year
Agree but still don't want Chile finishing 5th

I wonder if we might see this on the weekend
Cech
Bellerin Mustafi Koscielny Kolasnic
Coquelin
Walcott Ozil Xhaka Welbeck
Lacazette
Wenger on FFP
Laugh or cry he's probably right.

Rumours that we've agreed a deal with Monaco to take Lemar in Jan, for 92m, on a 5 year deal.
Reiss Nelson scores again for the U23s, cracking free kick against ManU, follows up his award for player of the month for that league, 6 goals in 4 games so far.

Had a dream last night we were losing 10-0 to Bournemouth
Arsenal's chief transfer negotiator Dick Law is stepping down from his position, Sky Sports News understands.
Law, who has operated in a de facto sporting director role for eight years, is leaving the Emirates amicably and for family reasons.
Up to 9th at half time. Flying. Get in!!!!
Three for me, and two for them.
thats a bit better boys! Bournemouth were pretty horrible, but we were good enough to put them away. could have had a few more quite easily as well.
Kola was much better down the left and bellerin seemed more comfortable as well.
Welbeck 'Welbeck'd" the first goal, but the 2nd was a lovely finish and he really could of had 3.
still not sold on the defensive solidity of our shape as i thought we could have been opened up easily if Bournemouth moved the ball a little quicker.
oh and seeing Begervoic (sp?) popping the ball when he was under pressure from welb and lacazette? you dont see that very often
3 points clean sheet Koln and Chelsea next
Bournmouth have numerous problems.
What was Coq doing? Floor Gymnastics.

I'm not a fun of this Goal Rush thing on Bein.

It's really annoying during arsenal games, but excellent when watching non-arsenal games as a neutral... wish you got offered the choice somehow
Some nice positives from last night, but all seemed a bit too easy, next week will tell a story.
Good to see Welbeck bag a couple. First one was typically jammy but good to see a calm finish on the 2nd, and despite missing i feel it was positive to see him go for the chip when he nearly bagged the hattrick. Hopefully he can build his confidence to help his finishing.
Great seeing our two big signings both perform. Kolasinac looks seriously good. Where were they last week???
And the best bit was the properly set-up of the backline. Interesting to see Mustafi play the central role with Koscielny right, I wonder if that is due to the issues we've had down the right side in every game so far this season... in any case it looked like 5 defenders in the right positions for once. I love Monreal in that left-sided CB role, he is awesome there.
Coquelin injured then, that will be Wilshere's ticket back to the first team, I feel there's a chance he could have a bit of a renaissance this season if he can avoid ankle injuries for once.
Surprisingly comfortable game and much needed result. Good to see sense prevail and the signings playing from the start. I like Kolasinac in the left wing back role. Seems well suited to the position both defensively and getting forward. Looking like an excellent signing for free so far. Must be Wenger's dream.
Also still can't stand goal rush. Best thing about being in the Europa is the number of games we're going to end up having when noone else is playing so we won't have to put up with it.
Absolutely delighted to see the Liverpool result especially with all the people saying how you never see then get turned over like Arsenal were. Please tell me Chamberlain played CM?

Funny how you mock Ox. It seems strange how most of the players that leave Arsenal not only improve but achieve things they never did at Arsenal. I could name them all, but I'm sure you already know.
Ox will be a better player under Klopp than he would with Wenger.

Nah, lets name them - out of players I can remember that wanted to leave;
Adebayor - had one (?) good season with Man City then faded into oblivion. Best seasons were at Arsenal.
Kolo Toure - Decent but not great for City. Again, best seasons at Arsenal.
Fabregas - Failure at Barcelona. Best seasons at Arsenal. Has played well for Chelsea, but mostly off the bench. Admittedly, has won more trophies.
Nasri - Again, has won more trophies, but now considered a failure at City. Won't be remembered. Best performances probably still in an Arsenal shirt.
RvP - One very good season for Man Utd. Now kicking around in Turkey.
Alex Song - Faded away after moving to Barca. Again ,best years at Arsenal.
Henry - Best years at Arsenal (obviously)
Hleb - Best years at Arsenal, faded away after moving.

Yes it's actually the opposite in almost all cases with Arsenal players that leave.

You missed a few.

Wasn't so much a mock of him but more delight at Liverpool getting thumped which would be the case regardless of who plays for them. Over the last 2 weeks I haven't even been able to get in the lift at work without some Liverpool fan having another go at me. However, of course I'd prefer players who leave and go to rival teams to fail and lose, as fans of any club would.
Pretty happy for that win bar the Coquellin injury. Although with that salmon-esque dive he'll be forever remembered in gif format for sure.
Looking ahead to FC Cologne I hope we mix it up, revert to a 4-4-2 perhaps with full bench rotation?
Ospina
Debuchy Holding Mertesacker Moore (from youth set up)
Walcott Wilshire Elneny Nelson
Giroud Iwobi

One statement made, followed up with an absolutely bollox statistic.
Sol, Freddie and Lauren did better after leaving Arsenal did they ?
Ok mate, you need a lie down.
Yea we definitely screwed up by letting the likes of Eboue, Anthony Stokes and Kyle Bartley leave didn't we. They've clearly been world-beaters ever since.
But for a second, imagine if we let a player go for nothing, then he goes onto win 6 different titles(potentially more) and then we paid over 100mil to get him back. talk about a player who not only improved, but also won stuff they never could have their original club...then took them to the cleaners to get him back.
Interesting to see in the news that Wenger was approached to take over ManU when Ferguson retired in2011, but he chose to stay.
Despite all the crap Arsenal/Wenger get, it's very intriguing that top clubs have continued to chase him all these years. Last week it was in the news that PSG had sounded him out to take over this season as well.
Why does Wenger stay? I really wonder. He could be in Paris managing Neymar, Mbappe and co right now if that's what he wanted.

Perhaps winning the EPL might be something.

Yea Ashley Cole was obviously the first that came to mind for me. He was absolutely outstanding for us. Though still only won the 1 league title with us compared to 2 with Arsenal. Though when you add in the 4 FA Cups, League Cup, Champions League and Europa League it looks like a good move.
As for actually being a better player with us or Arsenal, hard to say as I didn't watch Arsenal week in week out when he was there.

Surely he is chasing one last prem title or champions league to go out on...
Perhaps it's as simple as it was for Cech. He's lived in London for a long time, and is quite settled.
I think Cole probably was better after leaving, simply because he matured as he got older, like any player, and developed further. There's no doubting he was a top quality fullback.
As for the others, I don't see any at all in that list that performed any better than they did at Arsenal. Most performed far worse, with the odd one who went ok like van Persie for one season.
A lot of them simply didn't get a lot of games after leaving. Guys like Song and Hleb basically wrecked their careers.
Of course, no players have left Man Utd and gone on to do better things at other clubs.
What's that, you say? One of their finest youth prospects up and left, and then they purchased him back for a crazy fee?
Well, how about that!

Can't argue with that. At least we got him back.
It was not really about players that have improved but ones that left to win trophies.

So is going to another club, sitting on the bench for most of the season and winning a trophy better than sticking with a club where you play most games/improve as a player/become ingrained in the club as a legend?
