Yes please.

Three for me, and two for them.

Re: Podolski

I see absolutely no place in our squad for him. While he seems like a nice guy he hardly smashed it while he was here and his time at Inter had been a disaster by all accounts. Plus we have a well stocked squad for wide/attacking players. If we sell Theo as well, on the other hand, we'll need to invest in some genuine width. But Podolski is not the answer.

Poldi is only the answer if we're looking for someone to run social media or put cones out at training.

In any playing capacity, no - he had he opportunity, he let it pass him by. Great guy but we've moved on.

I don't understand this talk that we apparently require 4 new players to challenge for the title. Henry and others have been saying this.

I mean, take away the issues we had at the beginning of the season;

- failure to recruit a CB

- injuries

- world cup hangover

and we challenge for the title, with no new players. This squad is already good enough to do that in my opinion, so if we were to add just one or two players and retain what we have, then we'd be in an immensely strong position. Chelsea and Man City can't just go and splash like they used to, FFP restricts them. ManU will do that but looking at how they've gone the last 2 seasons spending money I don't fear whatever they do. Their squad is still a mess, they're still re-building.

Personally I feel we could do with a DM, but we might even go ok without one if Coquelin stays fit and keeps up the form he's shown.

I don't think we need a striker with Giroud, Welbeck, Walcott and Sanchez in the side.

Another CB is a possibility but would only serve to halt Chambers development. Perhaps a replacement for Per could be looked at, but that could wait another season.

I am happy with our GK's, only problem might be if Szczesny looks elsewhere now that he's lost his spot to Ospina.

Just read that because Bournemouth's official name is AFC Bournemouth, next season will the be the first time in 100 years we don't start the season top of the top flight.

The mother of Ainsley Maitland-Niles has been banned from the club after assaulting the elusive Dick Law at the training ground. Apparently Dick Law actually exists!

The one player I would to see us splash the cash on is a quality RM. If have a specialist in that role that would add so much more balance to the team.

With the chumps crashing to WBA very important to grab 3 points @ Hull.

Interesting thought. How would you describe a quality/specialist RM? Is it another Sanchez?

Kevin De Bruyne or a similar player. more a Ljungberg than another Sanchez. quality but something different

Not quite today. We're 9 points ahead and they have 3 games left. Our goal difference is 26 better but it's still not mathematically impossible for them to finish above us until we get 1 more point.

On that note, courtesy of @ArsenalGent:

Twas the night before St. Totteringham’s, when all through N5.
Not a gooner was stirring, not even a child.
The kits were hung by the front door with care,
In hopes that St Totteringham soon would be there.

The gooners were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of Özil a-danced in their heads.
And Madam in her ‘kerchief, and I in my cap
Had just settled our brains for a long late spring nap.

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
I sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.

The moon on the breast of the newly-built ground,
Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects around
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a shimmering saint, stood there clutching a beer.

With a red and white kit, he was looking so hot,
I knew in a moment it must be St Tott.
More rapid than eagles his chanting it came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name!

“Now Sanchez! now, Bellerin, Ramsey, Giroud,
On, Welbeck, on Coquelin, heighten our mood!
Paulista! Ospina! Chamberlain! Walcott!
Speed him along, that splendid Saint Tott!

And then, in a twinkling, we shall hear that cry,
That comes every year despite how they try,
As we leap up and down and spin all around,
Down to earth St Tott will come with a bound.

He’ll be dressed red and white, from his head to his foot,
And 1961 embroidered on his boot.
He’ll point at the number and say “See here!
They failed once again, it happens every year!”

His eyes-how they’ll twinkle! his dimples how merry!
His cheeks are like roses, his nose like a cherry!
His droll little mouth will draw up like a bow,
And the beard of his chin will be white as some snow.

He’ll be chubby and plump, a right jolly old gooner,
“It comes every year, usually sooner,
They spend so much and I hope it’s not rude,
One time I had to poison some Italian food!”

He’ll laugh and he’ll laugh ’til his face turns bright red,
“Their Euro hopes lying there buried and dead,
You’d think they’d be happy with ITV 4,
Their Thursdays, their Spursdays, they are such a bore.

He’ll spring to his feet, to the team give a whistle,
And away they’ll all fly like the down of a thistle.
But we’ll hear him exclaim, ‘ere he drives out of sight,
“Happy St Totteringham’s to all, and to all a good-night!”

I know its just under 4 weeks away but has anyone given any thought as to where we could watch the FA Cup final on the 30th? I'll be driving down for the Under 20 World cup games and then staying the night in Wellington to watch the final.

I for one would prefer the backbencher, simply because of last year.

Win that from 2-0 down, having gone without a trophy for 9 years, I mean that just cemented the BB as my proper good luck environment.

I will wear the same clothes as well (they have been washed).

Would have to organise somewhere to open for it wouldn't we? Backbencher would feel special again but think Uber said he no longer works there so someone else would have to organise.

UG - is there any particular reason Boycie would be against the idea? cost/staff/pita etc?

Good showing in the first half. Stepped off the pace in the second but that's understandable. Really loved the movement from ozil, Santi and Sanchez today. And it was good to see Jacko sprinting down the wing again.

Have only seen the goals but that Rambo pass for Sanchez was divine. Also spotted a great touch from Ozil too which was lovely.

Some sparkling play this morning, could've been 6-1 (or 6-0 considering the foul on kosc before their goal)

I also loved that one two where ozil backheeled it to sanchez, who played him in one on one, but he didnt quite get the chip over the keeper

if one or two things went differently we could've had a few goal of the season contenders this morn

If anyone watched The Croud Goes Wild last night, Andrew Mulligan had great pleasure in saying Happy St Totteringhams day to Mark Richardson. They then showed our three goals. Brilliant stuff.

I tweeted him that it's the 20th year (copied Rigor with #YaLosers) and he mentioned that after the break too.

Gold.

Don't even need to go back 20 years - since 09/10 Spurs have finished ahead of every other Premiership club but us at least once.

Love the chants from our fans clearly coming through the other day too.

"It's happened again,

it's happened agaaaaaaaaiiiiin.

Tottenham Hotspur,

it's happened again."

Saw a stat that the game the other day was the first time since 1996 that we have named the same starting 11 for 4 games in a row. Let that sink in for a minute. Effectively it means it was the first time under Wenger that we have had the same 11 fit for 4 games.

Interesting stat but I don't think it effectively means that... arsene has always rotated players to some extent. It's not often you get 4 league matches in a row without there being a league cup game or something else to prompt changes. With us being out of the champs league and not having another non-league game until the fa cup final, this has been a rare chance to play the same eleven this many times in a row in the league.

True, but I still think it would be hard to find a period of 4 consecutive games where we had the same 11 players available.

What is the point of a transfer window if you can jack up signings in advance of it?
