I think they are still favoured to finish up there, but there have been complications in the way the decision was made and now the Newham Council are holding back on the finance until things are clear.
At worst, I think it may be a case of leasing the stadium rather than owning it, which is probably not what the Club's owners want.

I wish the highlights they have on TV for the championship was an hour, not 30mins!

Sky have requested that WestHam restrict their scoring to four per game to give the other clubs a fair go.

Am loving how Wood is doing at Birmingham, only 19 and he has 8 goals in 9 games for em. Really looking forward to seeing him play next year for the AW's in Fiji I believe it is?

I manage to find the odd stream sometimes at night for championship matches, not easy to come by, thats for sure. I know some betting sites stream certain matches.. Azevo2011-10-17 13:07:07

Be interested to see what they are doing different to AWs that gives him the chances he is taking/making.

Facking Ipswich did not deserve that win this morning, am happy to see my pompey boys playing so much more freely and not being confined to cotterball anymore.

I really do feel for Forest, he is not really the coach you guys need at the moment.

Yes. Worst we've been in a couple of months.

Still revenge for your win at Portman Rd last season where we dominated and you got the points.

Pompey slammed Doncaster 3-1, am stoked about that. Boro and Southampton for instant promotion next season?.. Definitely can see Southampton going for it.

Personally, my pick is West Ham and Birmingham for the top two.
Southampton has to have a question mark hanging over them when it comes to depth in the squad.

Funny you should say Southampton aren't going to be on top when play-offs come around.

They just lost 2-0 to Crystal Palace.. Sadly that wasn't ion the league, rather the Carling cup.Azevo2011-10-27 11:32:07

WestHam have four games left in October
Bllackpool H          won 4 - 0
Southampton  A     lost 0 -1
Brighton A             won 1 - 0
Leicester H            won 3 - 2

Hammers supporters dont have to wait long to find out whether we are good enough to go straight back up.
Survived October in second place despite quite a few injuries. The depth is there, lets hope there is consistancy

I see Billy Sharp of Doncaster played, and scored, 2 days after his 2 day old son passed away.

Now that's a big effort, football must be the last thing on his mind right now.

f**k you Steve 'Cotterball' Cotterill! was so stoked for that win this morning.

Must of been tough to see Ipswich lose to Doncaster as well, also thought that Coventry were lucky to put 2 past Southampton.

am still quite surprised by Pompey signing Michael Appleton as manager. Under him we should be starting to play attractive football rather than Cotterball, which will be a real treat.Azevo2011-11-15 13:38:16

Been too busy to follow much of Pompey this season.
Can you give a run down of the Managerail appointment?
16 Nov 08:30 · edited 09 Sep 05:22
Appleton is a young bloke, 35, use to be with West Brom, worked as a coach there since he was 26-27, he had a carrer ending injury (also attributed by a surgeon f**king up his knee with unnecessary surgery, luckily he got compensation for that) and got into coaching.

At WBA, he worked up through the coaching rankings to eventually coach the first team from my understanding, so it's not like he has not experience in coaching, from my understanding he was pretty successful with WBA, lots of praise for him from West Brom.

Can't wait for the 19th to see what he does, it is sad that quite a lot of pompey supporters are bagging him already, will have to wait and see.

Does everyone think the Mighty Leeds will get promoted to the prem for next season
27 Nov 11:40 · edited 09 Sep 05:22
Still a long way to go yet mate.

They're in there with a chance though, just need to shake off Blackpool, Hull, Birmingham, Leicester for a nice spot, not sure about Crystal Palace or Brighton.

Southampton are still rocketing ahead, big shock seeing them lose to Bristol 2-0, Bristol are sitting in 22nd place at the moment. I think West Ham will come into 1st spot eventually.

4 loses this season so far, still ain't bad. Dread seeing them against Pompey, unless Appleton can master mind around their berserking attack.Azevo2011-11-28 00:46:19

By the time Burnley come up against Pompey on the 10th, by then we may of had 10 points deducted. f**king crappy owners and management, stress tests, my ass FA.

On a day when Southampton lost as well. What a bummer.

Went to Burnley once with two Blackburn supporters. They reckon that is one of the most dangerous things you can do up that way.

That will be an ideal match to win, especially seeing as Southampton will most likely win sunday and west ham are obvious favorites against Barnsley, can't let the top two get to much of a lead.

Been waiting so long for this, always thought we'd clash with the Saints in the championship, Wonder how passionate the players will be for their clubs.

imo, Southampton will come away with the win.
