Promotion is gained on points, then goal difference, then goals for.
If WestHam win 3 - 0 and Southampton draw 1-1 this is how it will look
                                           F      ï¿½ A       ï¿½ DIF       PTS
Southampton 82     47       25            86
West Ham            82     47       25            86
Scrap the playoffs. We have a winner(ston)

After those criteria, it goes to head-to-head records. I don't have my database with me to check if that's ever been required for promotion/relegations.

Southampton won their home game and West Ham's home game was drawn.
Back to Hull handing us a 4 - 0 win

Looking at the play-offs as well, if Cardiff loose and Boro win, Boro go through.

This is going to be an interesting weekend of footy.

We will never fully decide who has won the football.

How on earth does that man still have a job. You lot have been calling for his head for how long now?

Because the chicken farmers that own the club have no clue how to run a football club. There has been calls to get rid of him since he puts us into a relegation fight in 10/11 after Big Sam got fired.

Rovers have been horrible in their 3 games this season, yet we have 7 points. Is the Championship really that bad?

Any Watford fans on the boards?

I saw today on the transfer deadline day coverage that Watford loaned 5 more players from Udinese, with a view to buying. That brings the total up to 10 players on loan from Udinese. Both clubs are owned by the same people, so was just wondering what their fans think of this.

Surely that's good news for Watford? Obvioulsy Udinese are a considerably better team, although you do have to wonder whether they're offloading a few absolute donkeys if they're willing to part with ten players.

Not really sure, thats why it would be interesting to find out what their fans think. Do they feel they are being used as a reserve team, did Zola request these players etc. Most of them are in the early 20's, so they might be putting them in the shop window.

They have 14 players on loan, 10 from Udinese, 2 from Granada. Both of those clubs are owned by the same owner as Watford.

Yeah....top albeit temporarily.  Assisted by 28000 fans after ticket prices slashed to 12 pound.

See Burnleys striker has already scored 20 this season!

Sounds like Rovers are going to be loaning Bradley Orr too Ipswich Town with a view to a full time move. Might help fix the defence for you Hard News.

Hopefully Wood keeps Leicester in 5th and away from second spot which Boro are going for!  Cardiff looking stronger this year.

Are the first play-offs 2 legs or just one-off games like the final?

Checked sky guide online, nothing showing yet for the games scheduled Thurs/Fri - although these are typically the kinds of events they don't update the guide with until the last minute.

I think from memory they showed the playoff final only last season?

Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

Quality pen by Kevin Phillips. I think Palace had the better of the game, second half and extra time at least anyway. Congrats.

terrible game to watch though - normally I love a Championship play-off final, but that was 3 hours of lost sleep.

Yeah lacked the fireworks I was hoping for but not to worry. First half, both teams looked like they just didn't wanna fuck up as opposed to go win it but lots of pressure so maybe fair enough.

Watched in the morning too which was a good decision!

Ian Holloway on Kevin Phillips, scorer of the £120 million goal, aged 39 years, 10 months. "I'll keep signing him until he's 50 or 60 if he keeps putting balls into the net."

Lesson: (for all you guys in Masters/Cap 5 etc.) if you've got the goods, don't retire before your time.

"At the end of the drive the lawmen arrive...

I'll take my chance because luck is on my side or something...
