Oh, and some interesting points reagrding the demise of Atletico this season:

"Many really. Despite they have oficially stolen the club and put us in the worst years of our history, talking about the last days...

1. Selling Heitinga to Everton with no time to buy a back up. Now we don't have enough CBs and can't buy until December.

2. Sportive director Garca Pitarch (the one who was with Benitez at Valencia) saying "Signing Luis Garca is the bigest mistake I made in my carrer", when the player is already out and showed respect to everyone.

3. Cerezo, At.Madrid's president saying: "People who protest are not Atleti fans", "they don't know about football" or "they can't ask for more".

4. Gil Marn, Atletico owner, saying again in a newspaper that the supporters can't ask for more.

5. An increasing debt of 550m .

6. Stadium sold with no benefit for the club.

7. Oh yes... and the president calling "son of a bitch" to some fans at the end of last season.

And all that, only in the last months... there are many reasons really. For me, the fact that they didn't pay a thing to buy the club (proved by the biggest jury system in Spain) and put it in a +500m debt and in the worst sportive moments of its history are reasons more than enough for not letting sleep those guy til they leave the club. "

Looks a bit like Smudge going to ManU.  Sometimes the best thing a player can do for his club is leave it.

Well, the idea with Torres was to sell him, sack the manager and use his money to rebuild the team. Look where we are now...

You're still better off than Leeds.

Seems like Aguero won't be going to Chelsea after all.

Though Maxi Rodriguez may sell out and sign for those notorious English floppers and ruffians in Perennial strugglers Liverpool.

Maxi would go in the summer anyway- wherever. Goodness knows what is happening with Kun- sounds like he's staying... For now! Stay Kun- we need you!

While I was away: Atletico Madrid 2-1 Sevilla. Recre Huelva 3-0 Atleti. Valladolid 0-4 Atleti.

Last minute winner from Lopez gave us a 2-1 win over Sevilla!!! Was absolutely buzzing as we climbed up the table! Then a 3-0 loss against Segunda side- although we played with ten men for most of the match. Second leg this week- big game at the Calderon! Going to need an early goal or two and a good defensive performance to have any hope. And we mauled the (awful) Valladolid in what was a terrific performance. Vamos Atleti!

Maxi has signed for the Reds on a free.

Our game is tomorrow against Huelva.. Going to be tough to get through given the enormous disadvantage we've got.

Vamos Atleti! Unfortunately, I'm off to Big Day Out today and am going to miss the game! But let's hope for miracles... Vamos!

Sporting Gijon at home tomorrow. Vamos! Good opportunity to get some points. Hopefully a lot of confidence going into the game.

And Madrid lose to the Basques. Excellent. That will annoy them so much! The Basques hate them as much as we do.

Normally i'd rejoice at the Fascists losing, but when it comes against a club with some of the most racist fans in world football and an archaic selection policy i can't see any joy in it.

Three for me, and two for them.

Yeah. That's true. The Basques aren't exactly nice people. But I am ALWAYS happy to see Real lose.

3-1 now! Aguero just fails to take it round the keeper but it falls to Ibra who whacks it in from an extremely tough angle!

Kun dribbles past the entire team from kick off and is denied by the keeper! He hit the cross bar earlier, as well as missing the roof of the net by a whisker.

Although his finishing was a bit off- Kun was sensational. Man of the Match. Fulltime now. A bit more of a nervous ending than it needed to be. But we hardly sat back after they scored, or held it up in the corner. We could have scored twice more!

At home to Celta Vigo in the Cup this morning. First leg. Vamos Atletico!! We won't have the Calderon to fall back on in the second leg, so it is important we get a good result to start...

Quarter-final. Sevilla won 0-3 away at Depor yesterday, so they look like they're in the semi. And Getafe won at Mallorca.

1-1. Terrible start after conceding a goal after 3 minutes! But Tiago pulled one back.

The same Roy Carroll who couldn't actually dive? Oh dear. What a shocker he was. Why he replaced Tim Howard I will never know.

We've signed Salvio- another Argentine wonderkid. Rumours now that Kun could go to Real...  Hopefully THAT doesn't happen or it is shirt-burning time.

Also Madrid have signed Canales at the end of the season. Oh dear. This kid is class.
