I guess it really depends on how many golden handshakes they've promised. Or how many paper bags they need to fill to get some games.

What are the likes of NZF (Pragnell) on money wise? The more they make the more they pay themselves? Sport governing bodies have always had a dark cloud over them especially the FIFA ones. I also hear FIFA are now paying players directly in some countries as they do not trust the sport bodies which is not a bad thing as many of these countries are so corrupt.

Pragnell would be on a $300k minimum I'd ahve guessed.

I read the other that that the South African players along with the Nigerian's were receiving the payments directlyu from FIFA due to corruption within their organisations. I dont see that as an issue in NZ so muchm but the payouts historically have left the organisation finacially bereft.

Worst group in womens world cup history? Not sure I've seen one before have four teams all so far, far away from contending

I have seen a lot of excellent quality at this tournament that was missing before, what with increased number of teams. This gave us some surprise group results and unexpected banana skins for some of the traditionally strong teams.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days
