Hey guy's just got a break from playing the game on ps2 here's a few of my first impressions

-Loving the menu screen before each match which highlights the key player and their game play.
-Who's David Williams for the fury? his rating his 70 and he's only about 20 years old.
-Paul Ifill and Shane Smeltz are underrated for sure. Smeltz is arguably the best striker in the league yet there's so many players ahead of him on overall ratings.
-Took about 10 games before I managed to keep a clean sheet.
-Why can't the international players without a club be free agents? or atleast able to sign! I want Chris James for Tromso IL in the Norwegian league, also if i was the Nix i'd be keen on re-signing Christie and getting Aaron Scott.
-Be a pro mode is sick as, so cool how you compete for a spot in the national team!

Unfortunatly ratings for CG systems are not cared about anymore. This is probably why David Williams is 70 and other players are underrated. For CG systems it is best to ignore overalls and look at attributes.wellyphoenixfan2009-10-09 17:42:00

Williams is just another 'next Harry Kewell' who never made the level he was hyped to.  Suspect the rating is from the hype and hasn't been reset.

An example is he is 62/63 in the NG versions. I am not entirely sure but I believe all the attributes in NG players are still in CG players just the overall is calcualted differently.

Strange happenings, I didn't resign two players for the next season so my squad was 18 but I got given two random players to bump it up to 20. One is the best in the league rated 74.

Btw in previous games has the NZ national anthem been in the game? I only noticed it in this game and I am very impressed by it.

I find signing free agents a little too easy. Just got the best 2 players in the league way to easily.

Seriously can't wait to play it. It isn't a good time to get it right now because I have mocks just around the corner, and I need to dedicate lots of time to study for them.

Plus I don't have any cash.

Where do you have to come to make finals?

I came 6th and I ended up not playing any finals... And I only played 22 not 27 matches?????

I might be able to confirm the fact i got to the playoffs by coming first had two games against Melbourne who i presume came second and then played Melbourne again the grand final. The game amount i'm not sure but it was fairly short.

I have a tough choice to make now. I have2 players ready to sign but can't fit them both under the salary cap. Both low 70's both positions I need so which one should I sign.

What position?

Ones RF and Ones CM. Both Positions are needed.

Sounds like there is a Salary cap? Cool! This sounds realistic as!

It's not really a salary cap it's how much weekly wages you are allowed to have. But it's given to you by the board. And I signed the RF not the CM.whitby fever2009-10-09 21:03:12

Will be hopefully be playing FIFA 10 tomorrow, my PC basically has the minimum requirements

12 points in the first four games in the EPL. I might restart the game actually in Manager Mode, change the Stadium name and forgot to change the managers name too. And now I have me playing (Game Face an all), not the best player around, actually, quite useless on the pitch except I score goals. Randomly selected talent when setting my player as me up.

I've unlocked white boots. Bit of a let down for an achievement. flash coloured boots are for show offs. Grrrrr.

In Be A Pro. if you are using your Virtual Pro do you have to be playing 1st team to get the accomplishments?

Um, I came second and played what would seem like last years top 4 playoff structure. Two legged Major semi against 1# which I won, then sydney in the final. So not too sure.

You can do some in Arena can't you? So I would say no.

I've been doing the ones in the Arena but some work and some don't eg the chipped penalty. And with the matchplay ones none of them get accomplished even if I do them lots in one game eg Backheels.

Enjoying FIFA 10 in be a pro mode does anyone know if it goes on after the world cup? Do you compete for 2014 WC too or does it just end there?

Be a Pro - your player can be used in any mode. Oh and doing the game face thing unlocks an achievement too.

So let down by the ps2 version, wish I had a ps3 because none of the good features are on here. it's practically the same as fifa 09. atleast the 'team of the month' is more accurate and selects my best players instead of randoms.

do you reckon if you made your own club you could put the kiwi guys who are unattached in there so you could sign them in manager mode? just seems so stupid that you can't get them.

Is the 'Be a Pro' mode fixed on PC?  Last year's attempt was sh*** - you create a player and are thrown straight into the main team as captain (even if you've never played and have a 60 rating compared to the team's 80 average).  There was no trialling, no second teams, no achievements.

Hopefully they have a little more than 'be one player instead of the team' this time on PC.

get a real console and you won't have a problem.

Sif, PC is for master players :P

I did like the mouse controlled passing in Fifa 09, and the nix... but everything else annoyed me.
