Excited for this.

Any goss on new things in the game?

Could do with fixing the A-League squad rules. You're allowed 39 as is. And also being able to change kits after seasons. Fairly minor details but hopefully this game is bigger and better than before!

Also want to see the transfers a bit more randomised. If I'm not playing with them, Manchester United always sign Rossi and Vucinic, Cheslea always get Di Natale and Cassano, City seem to get Kalou and Lucas and Madrid get Lennon, Evra, and Milner. It gets a bit boring after a while.

I'd like them to remove all black players.

There's already a mod for that.

Serious face for a second, i'd like to see the inclusion of age group World Cups. They already have the South American Under 20's and the Euro Under 21's and Under 19's. Wouldn't be too hard to implement i'm sure.

I'd love for kiwi regens to not all be Rufer, Laing, Barbarouses etc. Sicks playing as the AWs in 2020 with everyone sharing the same sir names.

Question for you News:  Why do NZ players in FM who have been in the game since CM 99/00 still have no long term histories and why are some of them still 20ish when they are over 30.  I realise its hard to keep track of everyone on your lonesome but surely the boys at SI should have all this info in the databases stretching back to the late 90s?

Hopefully they sort out Oceania Nations Cup issues. Annoying when half your team is away on Oceania Nations Cup duty for NZ at the business end of the season.

Hopefully a few players have their attributes updated. McAllister is a gun in the game I am currently playing, scoring 15+ a season for 5 season and averaging ~7.5. Hernandez is sh*t, as are a few of the more decent performing players, Ifill and Durante (when compared with McKain stats) could be a tad better, Leo could have improved defensive attributes after wc experience.

I suppose the Nix shouldnt be allowed ACL entry, it is nice but not realistic. Also, to be more realistic Nix shouldnt be getting regens (until youth team playing nzfc teams is oraganised properly irl, could have yellowfever scholarship for best regen in nz to trial with Nix) and squad capped at 23, not the 39. Min squad size is 16 in game? Should be 20, as should the date be set for min squad size be set for 1 Aug. NZFC should be amateur with transfers to a league being free (I bought a top player from team wgtn for 850k and sold him at 20/21 for ~4.5mil). Youth marquee and Aus marquee i think still needs to be implemented. To many decent a league players end up playing nzfc, Matt Thompson at Auckland City for example.

Guest players? FFA approving marquee players, or minimum requirements for marquee players not just highest paid. I had an amazing 19yr old regen keeper my marquee, though had about 20+caps for NZ at that stage but not exactly meant to be marquee material. No transfer fees amongst a league teams.

Really, there is a lot to do to make the a league more realistic.

SI should contact the FFA to get a clarification of the rules. The rules should be implemented a lot better, shouldn't really need researchers to get the rules right (or competition format like the ONC).

Researchers can't actually change any of that stuff anyway. They only have acess to the same editor we do as far as i know. (thats what i had when i did it for FIFA one year)

Hey guys, I've had FIFA Manager 09 and 10 for the last couple of years. Is FM 11 meant to be better than FIFA Mangaer 11? I notice the FM thread is alot busier!

Football Manager is the only game for Football Management. Everything else is just noise.

Does FIFA manager still let you play the matchs if you also have the corrsponging copy of FIFA?

Not that I know of. The match engine in FIFA Manager sucks but they are real in depth with player pictures, career stats etc.

oh man now I'm really perplexed. Do I buy Fifa 11, or FM 11... I have FM 10 and love it, although FM 11's price on steam is way attractive.

So if you pre-order off Steam do they deliver a disk or is it one of those ones where you have to download and install the game manually?
