Moderator inconsistency goes further than that too. I have been banned twice for questionable reasons, the last for making a joke against Doloras that was benign and nowhere near as bad as some of the things said or jokes made by others including moderators. Of course the moderator concerned is unknown and there is no control over who or why is banned. All we want is clarity and consistency, I believe this type of action is a contributing factor to long standing members not bothering with the forum anymore and other fan groups being started in opposition to YF. Sort yourselves out because so many of the good things you do are ruined by this sort of crap.

They are volunteers NP. Sacrifice their valuable free time, to do all the things they do.

I've had posts deleted. Life goes on.

But been banned for no good reason? I certainly appreciate the volunteer work done but such decisions need to be made in a more robust fashion. YF and the forum is a big deal and parts of its operation need to executed in a professional manner despite it being run by amateurs.

Who has been banned for no good reason?  Making jokes "against" other forum users seems like a reason to me. The reality is that this work is done by volunteers with busy lives who will make decisions that you or I might disagree with sometimes. They're open to feedback but saying that they need to perform as if it was their professional job, or "cut out the crap", is pretty unfair IMO.

Maybe take this to the "whine here" thread if you want to discuss further.

This Steven Taylor thread is becoming more about moderators than Steven Taylor. If anything all these posts should be removed lol..

Thank you for laying out how you broke rules 5 and 7 (and hardly for the first time). If you still don't understand the rules please feel free to go read them again.

This thread is way off topic again so as people have stated if you want to go and whinge about the modding there is an aptly named thread for that. Post hiding will be used until this discussion returns to useful discourse.

So how about that Taylor guy? I still struggle to believe they gave that pen against him in the CCM game... If that's a pen, then there should 3-4 pens per game should be given!

That was the typical soft penalty the Aussie Referees love to give against us. It's not like he rugby tackled the guy or even put any pressure on him or grabbed a handful of shirt and dragged him.

Typical Simon type of peno, he won one last night against CCM, very soft but he makes it look like he was shot. Hopefully Taylor learns from it and avoids letting the ref make a call.

He has been playing the same way and winning penalties for season after season. If teams and defenders are unable to work out how to deal with him their problem.Doubt there would be many complaints if he was doing it for us.

Rudan was clear that Taylor, with EPL experience, should have known better than to be sucked in like that.

In the prem league that wouldn't have been a penalty. Heck even in the world cup it took countless var calls to give England pens. Taylor probably amused about it all.

Taylor had his arm over the top of Simons shoulder and stopped him jumping for the header. That is a penalty, he should have known better and is exactly why Rudan was disappointed. Hell, I called it from the stand before the ref it was that obvious.

Thought much the same and when i heard Rudan mention it and say he thought Taylor should have done better thought the call was right.Once again just goes to show how the one incident can be seen completely differently by a number of people Buggar being a ref.

Hate to says this lads but if what Steven did to concede the penalty was done at the other end to one of our strikers and not given!!! We would be screaming blue murder.

Credit where it is due. Referee King had four penalty decisions to decide on that were all subject to VAR review. Three given one not given on the field and shown to be correct calls.

EDIT: Just stripped it all out and will put in the mod thread, having typed it before seeing the above posts. I don't know if this will work, but attempting to link to that post:

https://www.yellowfever.co.nz/categories/general-a...

I'll just leave this on-topic bit here:

As for Steven Taylor, yes he is entitled to be a single man and play the field of course, but lets be real here, he has been clearly dishonest with these women, telling them that he's really into them when he's clearly not, outside of the s*xual activity. So he can get a free pass on a technicality if that's your thing, but the reality is that if a friend of mine was behaving this way I would probably have a word. If you want to sleep with multiple people that's fine, but you should probably let them know. As a human being you should really try to be honest in everything you do, which includes lower level stuff like what you say to your s*xual partners.

Sliightly off topic again (sorry). Since when does the word sexual need to be censored? Sex ain't a dirty word.

Completely agree though. He's been a dick about it but that's also no one's business except his and the women involved.

I've always done this in work emails, and when typing posts etc on work PC's, just to ensure nothing I do gets flagged in any kind of security tools etc they might be using, and emails don't get quarantined. Just a personal habit I started years ago.

I generally do it with any words that might be connected with something I shouldn't be doing in a work environment.

Also prevents any YF automated censoring e.g. fudge, although I was once reprimanded for that ;)

May I refer you to:

I gotta know right now?
Before we go any further
Do you love me?
Will you love me forever?

Let me sleep on it
Will you love me forever

Let me sleep on it
Will you love me forever

I couldn't take it any longer Lord I was crazed
And when the feeling came upon me like a tidal wave
I started swearing to my god and on my mother's grave
That I would love you to the end of time
I swore, that I would love you to the end of time
So now I'm praying for the end of time
To hurry up and arrive
'Cause if I gotta spend another minute with you
I don't think that I can really survive

It was long ago and it was far away (it never felt so good, it never felt so right)

And it was so much better that it is today (and we were glowing like, a metal on the edge of a knife)
