So here's a way to boost our ratings: 15 minutes before a game, during half-time, and 15 minutes after every game Steven Taylor becomes the Season 4(?) NZ Bachelor. Only on Sky Sport 3.

So if Rudan goes sounds like Taylor might be going with him.

We have a team option for next year on Taylor's contract, why on earth would we let him walk?

Valley FC til I die?

Rudan signed a two year contract as well.

I would be really pissed if he fudges off and takes players with him

It's a bit like your mate taking your misses

Because Rudes isn't going anywhere at least until the end of next season and Taylor is the star of this club, so he'd be a fool to jump ship.

hope you are right, really do

As I said before I'll be pissed if it does

Hope if Rudan does go early the Phoenix put some kind of anti-player poaching clause into his exit agreement

I don't think anyone at Phoenix HQ would've imagined things to go so well that we'd be in a position to require it!

Taylor's comments about Rudan being 'a big reason behind my extension' surely means Rudan's sticking around too, right?

Would be a shock for a senior player like that to be sold down the river otherwise

"Mark Rudan was a big reason behind my extension and the belief he has shown in me has been fantastic. The team are all working towards a bigger goal and that is to win and bring this club back to where it belongs.

"The goal for this season is to fight for a finals position and then to fight towards the grand final."

Rudan said he was delighted to retain the vastly-experienced defender.

"Taylor has been a prominent figure this year alongside Andrew Durante and I am extremely pleased that he has signed for another year," he said.

"It just shows we're not only building towards finals this year but we are building for next year as well."

says it all really, both Taylor and Rudan are looking towards building for next year.

Queenslander 3x a year.

I was wrong and I apologise. It is great news! However, just to play devils advocate, we don't know if there is an out clause if Rudan doesn't resign. But hopefully Rudan is next!!!

What a great way to start the day, jumping on here and reading this! BRILLIANT. "I'd rather be an Oz than a Neville". Reference to a classic programme.

English players seem to like Wellington, and they do well here, Ball looks like he'll continue this trend.

Rumoured to be signing for Odisha FC in Indian Super League.

https://iftwc.com/odisha-fc-sign-english-defender-...

Coached by Jeremy Brockie's former coach at Supersport in SA and former SA national team coach, Englishman Stuart Baxter.

Takes over this year from former Adelaide and Western Sydney coach Josip Gombau.

Taylor would join another former Nix player, new signing Jacob Tratt in defence.

I've been to the state of Odisha (also known as Orissa).

Nice place on the east coast with smaller cities and not much pollution.

Famous for it's tribal art (a lot of tribal people live in the jungle there) and the Jagannath Temple at Puri.

(Our English word "juggernaut" comes from that - the Jagannath deity is pulled on a huge chariot in an annual festival by the crowd of two million in one of the world's biggest religious festivals)

A days train ride from Kolkatta and many Kolkatta residents go there for a seaside holiday at Puri.

Odisha FC play in Bhubaneswar the state capital.

Has a good museum and one of India's best zoos  - you take a bus through the safari park to see lions (India has native lions) and tigers.

Bhubaneswar is not far from the sea at Puri if Taylor wants to continue jet-skiing !!!

Cheers Big Pete I like that kind of geography knowledge. Plan to get to India one day.

Unfortunately for Taylor this ISL season is being played in a hub at Goa across on the west coast. Well that was the plan last time I looked. Though Goa itself has also been a popular tourist attraction for years.

Oh, didn't know that.

Goa as a former Portuguese colony is one of the two main football hotspots in India along with West Bengal.

They'll go crazy over the tournament there, though I suppose crowds won't be allowed.

Anyway, Taylor should take his jetski there as well...
