I doubt he is annoyed at all.

Classic case of projection :-)

Smith is always letting us down and lets be honest, he is only a championship player. Reid on the other hand is a proven EPL player whom has had a few knocks over the last year.

Yep sucks to be that bad

It is when you dictate to your national coach when you will play. I mean every knew when the international windows were coming up for example, so he chose when we had a game to be played, to get married instead. Lesser players than him would have jumped at the chance.

You aren't allowed to decide when is the best time to be married for you and your family and friends ?

Whatever. There is always an excuse. You either show up for internationals when called upon or you don't and if the NZF take on a more staunch approach to these guys, it would add discipline to the team. Should they choose to retire from International football as a result, good on them, gives someone else a chance.

And to be fair, the FIFA international windows are well known in advance - and there's not that many of them during a course of a year. If you're an aspiring international footballer, it's probably something you'd pay attention to when considering potential wedding dates.

1. If you are a footballer and you want to have your wedding over an extended break, its a great time to have it in the international window, especially if your mates are footballers as well (Wheres my invite mr Smith ?)

2. He isnt an aspiring international footballer

He missed the last window because he was proposing, that's hardly something that requires an extended break. He has assured us that his wedding wont impact on any tournaments, etc.

I'm sure when you're setting a date for a proposal you can squeeze that in amongst NZ's heavy international program.

I know people who were married, divorced, engaged, impregnated then re-marrried since our last international match! Oh and my mother died too.

Did Andrew decline the offer to return or was this whole episode just media "smoke and mirrors"/red top trash reporting?

Dura never said anything about the situation publically.  Any speculation was done by the Media and us.  I'm sure there was a conversation, but cause he is a good cod, he kept everything private and didn't do it through the media

With Vukovic battling with Vedran for Sydney's #1 spot, Dura is looking pretty good to become the most capped A-League player ever this season.

I would think that players like Elrich and Broxham will eventually pass the others, but it's still a damn fine effort from Dura!

Rank Player Appearances
1 Danny Vukovic 250
2 Andrew Durante 246
3 Nikolai Topor-Stanley 236
4 Eugene Galekovic 230
5 John Hutchinson 228
6 Mark Bridge 225
7 Archie Thompson 224
8 Matt Thompson 221
9 Tarek Elrich 218
10 Leigh Broxham 208

But he also supported Hudson when he called out Martin. I think some people are finding it difficult to believe that perhaps Dura really does rate Anfony.

So there have been a lot of conflicting opinions on how Durante has been this season: I was wondering if here we could have a place to have our opinions on him this season be known.

a few errors which he would be aware of more than anyone but generally continues to be a class defender. The notion that he has suddenly lost his pace is not correct in my opinion and his reading of the game continues to be outstanding.

I think he's been poor overall, but so has the team - so it's hard to know how much of that is just from having a poor performing midfield in front of him.

Certainly he's not quite the player he was 3 or 4 years ago though.

Hence the importance of giving Lowry, Fox etc a reasonable opportunity on the pitch.

I am surprised they allowed any New Zealanders on "their" list. Ifill should have been somewhere in the top 15. Carlos 6th?
